Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

One weird looking snowman with two heads lurches (well, as much as a snowman can be said to lurch) around the corner. He is followed be several normal looking snow men.

"Here they come!" Bel said. He powered up a fireball and threw, aiming at a head.

"Handy!" Paige says orbing beside him with a baseball bat. She doesn't know what's happened between and Phoebe she doesn't listen to the radio much

Buffy lit up a flare and ran right at one.

They were still too far away for a lightsaber to be all that effective. Anakin lit it anyway, the blue beam reflecting off of the snow, and waited for them to get closer.

He'd promised Rory he wouldn't take ridiculous chances, after all.

Always obliging, Sam fired in the direction of the advancing snowmen, sending them in Anakin's direction. "Head's up!"

"Thanks!" Anakin called, advancing towards them and whacking off their heads with his lightsaber.

He hoped they wouldn't get back up.

Sam fired the zat at the snow...thing, also aiming at a a head.

Sam's shot took out the other head and the snow collapsed to the ground.

Sam grinned. "Oh, excellent."

Bel's fireball took out one head on the lead figure. It went by so fast that the other head was left intact.

"Nice!" Bel said to Sam. "Looks like if you take off the heads they go down."

"The question becomes," Anakin said, watching the snow closely, "do they come back up again?"

Bel threw another fireball at the pile of snow left by the two-headed creature. "Just to make sure."

Paige looks at him, aware her baseball bat is pretty much useless, "You think you can set fire to this?" she asks holding it out to him.

Buffy swerved around the leader and shoved a flare into the head of one of the snowmen and then darted away.

When Buffy was clear, Bel started zinging fireballs at the other snowmen who lumbered toward them.

Buffy grinned. "Thanks, Bel!" she called as she went down low at another monster.

Sam laid down cover fire with the zat, trying to herd them towards the people with fireballs. At one point, she fired the zat three times at one of the snowmen, making it vanish instantly.

Having been sleeping the sleep of the teenage dead, Shep was finally awoken by a commotion out the window. He pulls on his boots and jacket and heads downstairs to see what all the ruckus is about.

As he steps out of the dorm, he sees what's either got to be an albino wookie or the Stay Puff Marshmellow Man's two-headed little brother.

"What the Hell?"

"Sheppard!" Sam pulled a zat out of the back of her pants and tossed it to him. "Third time's the charm!"

He nodded, understanding. "Got it. How's the battery life on these things?" As he hollers he aims at the snow-thing that had come up behind Sam when she had been tossing him the gun.

1 - it flailed a little and slowed but didn't stop.
2 - it dropped to the ground. Twitching.
3 - it disappeared.

He aimed at another finding his rhythm. Slow it, stun it, sear it.

"Better than average!" Sam hollered back. She felt the zat fire go over her head and hit the deck, getting herself a faceful of snow.

She rolled over on her back, ready to fire, when she saw the monster disappear. "Thanks, Shep."

"No problem." He really, really wanted a chair and some drones, that would take care of this whole little disaster very quickly. But alas, this place only *looked* like Antarctica at the moment.

He reaches a hand down to help Sam up.

Sam grabbed his hand and climbed to her feet. "Okay, so this sucks hardcore, huh?"

But, somewhere, she realized that she'd really missed this. Classes just weren't enough.
