Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

"Better than average!" Sam hollered back. She felt the zat fire go over her head and hit the deck, getting herself a faceful of snow.

She rolled over on her back, ready to fire, when she saw the monster disappear. "Thanks, Shep."

"No problem." He really, really wanted a chair and some drones, that would take care of this whole little disaster very quickly. But alas, this place only *looked* like Antarctica at the moment.

He reaches a hand down to help Sam up.

Sam grabbed his hand and climbed to her feet. "Okay, so this sucks hardcore, huh?"

But, somewhere, she realized that she'd really missed this. Classes just weren't enough.

"You know... I thought being shot at while in a helicopter was bad enough. This blows. What is it about this place? Seriously? Did you encounter this level of large-scale weirdness at the SG... at home?"

"I just want to say up front that I had nothing to do with this," Sam said, ducking behind a snow bank and firing at the snow people, "and yes, much weirdness. High level weirdness. Although the snow people are definitely new."

Looking mock-guilty Shep replies, "So you're saying this is my fault? I was in my dorm room Reading the Kama Sutra... you know, really *hot stuff* sleeping when I heard all hell break loose." He smiles at her as they scan for the next batch of weirdness to head their way.

"Rumors get started like crazy in this place," Sam grinned back. "I just wanted it said up front that I did not make these monsters."

Shep laughs, "What's that line? Methinks thou dost protest too much? I never said I thought you did." He thinks for a second. "Though you do spend an awful lot of time in that crazy shop... who knows what you might have been up to."
