Gym, afternoon

The reports coming in from her clone troopers were worrying to say the least. Tex scanned around the gym seeing no one in charge and cursed. Who the hell was in charge at this school? Even Church was better at organising things. Changing the channel to communication systems, she finally found the right wavelength and the P.A. crackled to life.

"... stupid useless... Alright, that's better. Okay, listen up you anklebiters. Town's under attack by some sort of... I can't believe I'm fucking saying this... snow monsters. They got tentacles and you can shoot them but they'll kinda just reform a while later. Yeah, this should be fun. I suggest you all get some weapons and defend yourself. And if I see anyone of you adolescent fucktards heading into town to get in my troopers way I'll rip out your skull."

She turned off the communications and looked around her.

"Right, now what kind of firepower do you guys have here? You better not all be like that Canadian dictionary loving pacifist."

Susan hesitated, then finally forced herself to go talk to the woman in armor. "Ma'am? I'm a doctor, we've already set up a medical station, if there should be wounded. But if you find anyone else with medical expertise, we'd really appreciate it if you would send them over. I think we're going to be short-handed."

"I'm sorry, whom are you talking about?"

"Right." Susan's not even going to ask. "Thank you, and please let me know if you need us anywhere else."

Having awoken earlier from her trance, Zhaan finally moved when she heard the announcement about snow... monsters (really, she could have stayed dead) and then Susan's words brought her an unpleasant thought. Still, there was much she could do, if needed. Hoisting the medical kit she'd packed, she walked towards the woman. "I have some knowledge of medicines. Mostly herbs and their application, but I also have practical first aid knowledge. And I brought my kit with me in case of... emergencies."

Susan turns-- and stares. "All right," she says weakly. Green, she'd heard of. Blue? Was new. And far too like a naiad for her peace of mind. "I'm Dr. Pevensie. And we need all the hands and knowledge we can find." She cleared her throat. "I apologize, you started me. I don't believe we've been introduced?"

"Indeed, we have not. I am Pa'u Zotah Zhaan." said she, inclining her head. Glancing around the bustling of the gym, she almost said something about this seeming familiar. But then, snow monsters weren't quite the kind of thing she'd dealt with before. "Shall we set up an infirmary area? I would suggest barricades around it, to borrow from our de facto leader."

"We already have one here, from last night-- we were hoping that we wouldn't need it," Susan said, gesturing over to the table with medical supplies. "I'm just hoping some of the aides will be able to make it in here, in case we have wounded. But I think barricades are an excellent idea." She looked around. "That -- person suggested we recruit a few people as go-fers. I think the young man with the fuzzy hair was very helpful last night. He may have an idea if there are any extra blankets or dividers around that would serve."

Zhaan frowned thoughtfully. "Young man with the fuzzy hair?" She repeated, looking around the gym and mentally noting that the description was apt for every male that had slept there. She glanced towards where her companion was still laying, the dog curled into his side. "I can think of at least one person we can add to the list of go-fer."

Setting her own kit down under the table, Zhaan headed back over to Batou and bent down to shake him.

He came awake immediately. "Yeah, what?"

"We require your assistance. It appears there are snow creatures attacking the school. I believe you would be useful in constructing barricades." She glanced towards where Tex was organising things, "Or perhaps shooting at things."

The idea of snow creatures didn't seem to faze him as he stood and rolled his shoulders, cracking his back once before heading off to procure supplies. Zhaan gently woke Gabriel and got her up and moving back towards the infirmary area where she settled her under the table before turning to Dr. Pevensie and saying brightly, "I believe we'll be ready for any eventuality."

[ooc: sorry for the length. Batou godmodded with permission.]

"Dr. Pevensie," said Janet, nodding at her. She had her med kit on hand again and was taking more ibuprofin. She was going to hurt when this was done. "I'm presuming anyone from the clinic is gathering by you."

"Yes, thank you so much. We're trying to set up separate areas now." Susan looked over her shoulder, and immediately became more official. "And it looks as though we have business now."

Janet nodded again. "Triage," she said. "Hooray."

"Bastardo, una dispettosa, una schifosa, merda, god. Damn. It." The room was doing a focus-in, focus-out effect that Parker really could have lived without as Cally carefully helped her sit down on one of the cots in the medical area. "Jesus."

Lee followed Parker into the medical-looking section, still carrying Molly in his arms.

"What happened? Where was she injured?" Susan asked, hurrying over to the young man carrying an even younger girl who looked completely unconscious.

"This is Molly Hayes," Lee says, carefully lying her down on a cot. "She's... been hurt, I think. Unconscious, I'm not sure. I think she's an alien. She's cold, though," he says worried. "And Parker's ankle was grabbed by a snow monster. Cally's probably in need of a long sit and cup of tea."

Jarod ran over to Parker and Cally. "Parker? What the hell happened?"

Re: Medical Attention

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey," Parker said, sounding subdued and a little fuzzy. "I'm not talking to you." She didn't get up, though, and the blood on her left temple had caked and frozen over her ear.

He tried to fight down his fear when he saw the blood on her temple. "Okay, don't talk. Just keep your eyes open." He looked into Parker's eyes, then glanced over at Cally. "Did you see what happened? And are you injured at all?"

Tommy had seen a lot of shit in his time. Tommy had done a lot of shit in his time.

This was very close to taking the cake.

He did know one thing though, when trouble went down his job was to save lives. Period. End of discussion.

He grabbed all the gosh isn't it funny how non-specific we're being supplies he'd made the troopers bring from the clinic and started to set them up in the medical corner.

"You know the drill, Suz," he told her. "Basics I can cover. Major we'll need a real doc. And God help us all if it gets any worse."

"Right." Susan swallowed. "Ready if you are. Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan--" She pointed over to the blue woman, "Says she also knows First Aid, and Janet's here as well. Let's just-- take it as it comes."

"Hope for the best, huh?" Tommy said. He looked out over everything that was going on. "Times like this I almost wish I hadn't quit drinking."

Susan was about to reply when a group of four students (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/572373.html?thread=27151317#t27151317) came in, one unconscious, the other limping, and the last two looking worn out. "Oh, Lord. Customers. So much for hoping."
