Thank God it's Friday. Parker's hoping to just get through today and then go kill people. She'll help you, but wouldn't you rather be elsewhere?

Fraser chooses to make his appearance during third period and, this time, he brings Dief with him.

"Good morning, Miss Parker," he says, taking off his hat. "How are you today?"

"I've been better. But hey, you're here to brighten things up, how bad can it be?" She grinned when she saw the wolf. "Ohhh, and who's this?" she bent down and offered her hand for Dief to sniff, then scratching under his chin.

"Well, that's very kind of you to say," Fraser says, smiling. "And this is Diefenbaker. Dief, Miss Parker. Miss Parker, Diefenbaker."

"Hellooo, Diefenbaker," Parker crooned. "I didn't realized how much I missed Camwolf 'til I saw you. But you're probably better trained," she said with a laugh, scratching behind his ears. "He's your wolf? How cool is that?"

"And, well, if you heard the radio, you can probably guess why my day isn't all that great." Parker's lips turned downward. "Although I'm hideously relieved Rory's all right."

Dief turns into her hand, clearly enjoying the attention.

"Yes, he's mine," Fraser replies. "He can't get rid of me and I can't get rid of him so it all work out."

Frowning, he says, "Yes, another attack by the same person, right? I was hoping to see Vala today to talk to her about this person so I can be alert in case school grounds become a target. Perhaps I'll talk to Rory when she's feeling up to it as well."

"Darla," Parker spits the name out in what is almost a snarl. "Vampire bitch from hell. Vala's supposed to be out of the clinic, but she'll probably be in her room. Rory's around although not yet, due to access issues, but I don't know if she wants to talk about it any more." Sighing, Parker got to her feet, then rummaged in her purse, coming up with some peanut M&M's. "Dief, can you wave?" She held up one candy hopefully.

Dief, having tromped through snow this morning, just looks mournful. But, he's cute. And he adds a little whine to the mournful look.

Seeing his motionless, Fraser scowls. "He is able to wave but seems to be reluctant to do so right now."

Parker really can't resist the cute. "How about I just let you have it then?" she asks, grinning a little as she holds it out for him. "Gooood Dief."

Dief happily eats the treat, his tail thumping against the floor and Fraser's boots.

"That's very kind of you," Fraser says, smiling down at Dief. "You're probably one of his new friends now. He'll want to come back to the library constantly now."

"We can *always* use a wolf here. Unless Zero turns into a kitten again." Parker grinned, and held out another M&M. "How did you two partner up, anyway?"

Dief happily eats the M&M. He really likes M&M's.

"He actually saved my life," Fraser says, nodding. "He pulled me out of the Prince Rupert Sound."

Rory wandered out from where she was offline in the stacks.

"And that's how you met him? Before he even knew you?" Parker fondled Dief's ears, and laughed as he closed his eyes and panted. "Hero wolf at work!"

Zero came in, looking frantic and in need of caffeine at the same time. "Has anyone heard from Rory? What's going on?"

"She's here sort of, she's okay, mostly. But very, very freaked." Parker runs a hand through her hair, looking upset.

"There is something seriously grinding wrong in that town right now. I don't like it. At least I got my grocery shopping done for a bit."

"Fine," Rory nodded. "Little shaken up, but otherwise just fine. And my head hurts."

Zero nods. "That's good." Privately, she's kind of wondering if there's something about Rory that draws vampires. Maybe her blood tastes like chocolate syrup or something.
