Library, 1/27

Thank God it's Friday. Parker's hoping to just get through today and then go kill people. She'll help you, but wouldn't you rather be elsewhere?

Dief happily eats the treat, his tail thumping against the floor and Fraser's boots.

"That's very kind of you," Fraser says, smiling down at Dief. "You're probably one of his new friends now. He'll want to come back to the library constantly now."

Dief happily eats the M&M. He really likes M&M's.

"He actually saved my life," Fraser says, nodding. "He pulled me out of the Prince Rupert Sound."

Rory wandered out from where she was offline in the stacks.

"A dog?"

"Wolf actually," Fraser says, smiling at Rory. "Diefenbaker, Miss Gilmore. Miss Gilmore, Diefenbaker."

Dief proceeds to sniff Rory's hand...possibly for petting or for food.

Rory scritched his ears. "Hi Diefenbaker. I wish I had a treat for you, but all I've got is some chocolate, and that's bad for your kind. So scritchies will have to suffice."

"He's a wolf?" she asked Fraser. "Like an actual wolf? How is he domesticated?"

"Actual wolf, yes," Fraser nods. "He's also deaf but can read lips in both English and Inuktitut. I wouldn't call him domesticated but his behavior and demeanor allows him to love indoors."

"He's darling. In a wolfy way," Rory nodded, petting Dief.

"Thank you kindly." He's smiling, of course he's smiling. "How are you doing today, Miss Gilmore?"

"I'm okay," Rory said, not looking up from petting the wolf.

He nods but doesn't press. "I do hope so," he says quietly. "If the radio broadcast is true, I gather you should be resting."

"Eh. I got plenty of rest last night. Chloroform'll do that," Rory said just as quietly. "I'm fine thought."

"I understand." Fraser nods. "I'm actually on my way to talk to Miss Mal Doran about her encounter as well. You're safe on school grounds, Miss Gilmore. You have my word."

Rory smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Fraser. I hope Vala's feeling better."

Fraser laughs. "Call him a hero too often and his ego increases. He already enjoys not listening to me."

"Actually, I haven't started the book I borrowed a few days ago," Fraser says. "Depending on the state of the school, I'll probably just read those books while I spend the weekend inside. And yourself? In case this blizzard worsens, do you have sufficient supplies?"

Re: Third period

[identity profile] just-add-starch.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Fraser smiles. "If your supplies should run low, you can, of course, borrow some from me. Though, I do believe I'm out of marshmallows."

Re: Third period

[identity profile] just-add-starch.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't especially have a marshmallow preference, Miss Parker." Fraser looks away and wonders why he doesn't have a marshmallow preference. "If you insist on purchasing some for me, perhaps a mixture of both?"

"You're very kind and very considerate Miss Parker," he says. "Please be careful when you do go into town. It's snowing heavily and getting stranded might be potentially dangerous."
