Advanced Criminal Justice, Class #6, Period 1, 01.26.06
[OOC: I will be busy at the office all morning and probably be working against a deadline in the afternoon. Fun stuff. No clue how much I'll be able to reply udirng the day so Rory has permission to go crazy with the responses if she wants. Now ready for the usual scattered replies. Class Info Post.]
The Tick was behind his desk again, looking rather more rested. Lockheed was back on his usual spot on the bookshelf. And the mun was rushing this class liek whoa!
"Hello, class! A quick announcement before we get started today. There will be a quiz next Thursday. It won't be much to worry about and it won't be heavy on details from the class thus far. It will just check your ability to reason things out in the name of Justice!"
"Today we will be looking at the flip-side of Tuesday's topic. Where there are heroes fighting for Justice, there must be villains working against it."
"Today I would like you to tell me about a villain or a villainous group from back home. If you will, please discuss with the class what he, she, or it did to get labeled as so darn villainous and whether or not they have been brought to Justice yet!"
"And if the discussion goes well today, I may even share a story about one of my arch-fiendswhen the mun gets home from work so be sure to check back in at the end of class. It'll be the story of a guy with a chair for a head. Come on, you know you want to hear about him!"
"Please discuss!"

He listens to the discussion question.
"Official organization or just a group of people as a concept? Because if it's the latter then vamps and demons handle that just fine. Former, I'd probably have to go with Darla's little culty friends."
Re: Talk [Class #6]
The fact that he's looking at Angel and then Callisto and then back at Angel again doesn't mean he's making up some wild conspiracy theory about how Angel got the crap beaten out of him.

Sam grimaced, speaking a bit slowly as she tried to figure out how to phrase this. "They also operate very much like a cult, in that once you're a member, you're pretty much brainwashed to believe what the...gang leader tells you, without argument or logic. And, in most cases, you don't get out until you're dead."

"I love Principal Smith." She paused. "Right." She sat down, looking llike she wanted to kill someone.
"Evildoers from home." Parker muttered, then said, "Kyle. Creepy kid like Marty's bully. He tried to break my wrist once when all I was doing was trying to help him pick up some stuff he'd dropped. I think he set a fire at a... complex, a couple years later. He disappeared and no one's seen him since."

"Okay, there's Lothor. He was an evil Space Ninja... or actually, I think he might have been *from* Earth but was banished to space for being evil and was maybe a little bitter about that. So anyway, he and his two nieces came to Earth, and like, kidnapped all the good ninjas. And then tried to conquer Earth. But luckily there were still a few ninjas left, and these ninjas were also Power Rangers, so they pushed him in to the Abyss of Evil and got rid of him. And then his nieces became good ninjas."

"We thought they had been eradicated from the galaxy millennia ago but it turns out they'd just been hiding. They're back now. There's only two of them." Anakin stared at the wall. "And we have no idea who they are or what they're planning."

... which brought to mind another name, but not one Logan cared to discuss in class.
Well, Weevil's gang always made for good villains. "There's a bike club back home. Lots of trouble. Car theft, credit card fraud, assult, vandalism. Some of them got caught, but the breed like bun- er, like mice, so there's always more to take their place when one gets hauled off to jail."
Turn Stuff In [Class #6]

Re: Turn Stuff In [Class #6]
My favourite defender of Justice from back home is Trip Regis. Because he's a lot like me, except the part where he has green hair and is an alien. That's different. But he was a Green Ranger, and green's my favourite colour and I kinda hope I'll get to be Green Ranger one day too.
Re: Turn Stuff In [Class #6]
Parker pauses. She does not have a favorite defender that she feels comfortable writing about. That kind of thing, you never know who it'll get back to.
My favorite defender of justice is fictional: Agent Lana Mully, from the Z-Cases. She is a federal agent investigating crime with her partner, Wolf Lunder, but she is also a scientist and a rationalist. I aspire to look at concrete evidence in much the way Lana Mully does, without going off on wild goose chases or getting abducted by aliens for no good reason, like her partner.
