"Okay, remember how I said we were going to go over divination more today? I lied. Mostly because I forgot I told you guys we were gonna be having monthly quizzes. Because I didn't give you time to prep, it'll be an easy one this time, and we'll have some time for you to review your notes or ask questions before you take the quiz."

January Quiz
Re: January Quiz
2. Not all witches are motivated by evil or selfish desires, and not all magic is wicked.
3. Karma is the notion of "what goes around comes around." Performing 'good' deeds builds positive karma, which will at some point be rewarded in some way. It's sort of a spiritual tally of the "golden rule." If you treat others badly, the bad karma you generate will backlash against you.
4. Casting runes.
Re: January Quiz
Contagion: anything that a person or object may have been in contact with, such as a piece of clothing or any personal possession, may be used to affect that person of object.
Antipathy: includes oppositions, reversals, and entropy.
2. Witches use black magic.
3. Karma: What goes around comes around.
4. Tasseomancy: reading tea leaves.
Re: January Quiz
2.
They all start wearing shorter skirts and stealing each other's boyfriends the minute they figure out how to do magic. Wait, that first part's not negative. That even the good ones mostly want to use it for silly stuff, like changing their haircolor, andcoolstupid party games?3. What goes around comes around is really more like 'instant karma' I think - from what I
got lectured by a well-meaning friend when I whined about having totally earned the bad week I was havingread, the real thing is meant to be a lot more stretched out, like over more than one lifetime - and it's not so much getting instantly smacked for what you did like antipathy, more like the universe teaching you things you need to know, based on your past screw-ups.4. Looking into something - a crystal ball or a mirror or water - to see if you can see visions.
Re: January Quiz
2. Magic is something that bored, power-hungry teenagers with evil plans deep inside them turn to as an extracurricular activity when their parents ignore them.
3. Karma is the theory that whatever you perform will come back to you. This often called the three-fold law, because it is thought that the karmic effects come back to the power of three. This goes for good deeds as much as bad ones.
4. The Planchette: a small, wooden object mounted on wheels with a pencil attached. The spirits communicate through the planchette.
Re: January Quiz
Contagion: the concept that objects once in contact will remain in contact regardless of their degree of separation.
Antipathy: Everything has an opposite, and where this opposite isobserved to be contrary to a thing, it may be used to drive out, exorcise, dispel, or counter that thing.
2. That witches use black magic and that they use the magic to only serve themselves.
3. Karma: You burn someone in this life they get to burn you in the next one. Everything good or bad you do in this life has an impact on your next life.
4. Crystal ball
Re: January Quiz
2. That witches use black magic.
3. The sum of what you have done and how it affects your future.
4. Astrology, reading the stars.
Re: January Quiz
Contagion: This is why a person's hair or blood is used in a spell - because it's still a part of them in some way.
Antipathy: Opposites repel. Why vampires are affected by crosses and holy water.
2) Not all witches get all gothy and skanked out.
3) Karma - what goes around comes around. You get what you deserve, good or bad.
4) Tea leaves.
Re: January Quiz
contagion- A small amount of one thing can affact the whole of it ie by using a part of someone (and pressumably something that is close to them ie a personal item) it can affect the whole. antipathy Opposite repel ie vampires and crosses.
2. Tell me one negative stereotype of witches seen in The Craft. That witches use their powers negeativelyb to punish people they don't like or to get what they want.
3. What is karma? What goes around comes around ie you treat someone badly and eventually the same will happen to you.
4.Besides tarot cards, what's one popular method used for telling the future? Astrology
Re: January Quiz
Sympathy: A relationship or an affinity between people or things in which whatever affects one correspondingly affects the other.
Contagion: The spread of a behavior pattern, attitude, or emotion from person to person or group to group through suggestion, propaganda, rumor, or imitation.

Re: January Quiz
Re: January Quiz
Contagion: The third law of Sympathy, the Principle of Contagion, or Contact, which embodies the concept that objects once in contact will remain in contact regardless of their degree of separation.
Antipathy: Everything has an opposite, and where this opposite is observed to be contrary to a thing, it may be used to drive out, exorcise, dispel, or counter that thing.
2. That magic is so closely associated with dark motivations or evil.
3. What goes around, comes around. Doing 'good' builds positive karma, which will supposedly be repaid in your next life. 'Bad' deeds and actions are counted against you and generally come back to make you miserable in return.
4. Extispicy, or divination by examining entrails.
