Anders twitches. "Oh, lords. I thought we were done with those frakkin' things." He gulps down half a glass of milk and shakes his head. "Trust me, it's probably a good thing you missed it."

Pippi walks up with a Greelled Cheeckee Ceeser Seled.

"Ohh, gremlin gossip? What happened?"

She looks at Anders, not sure if she's met him.

"Hi."

"Nothing happened. I think? Just discussing the relative safety of cafeteria food hallucinations compared to gremlin ones." Xander chomped on a spoonful of Meshed Putetues. "No hallucinations so far today, by the way. Assuming your pigtails are supposed to do that."

Pippi's eyes looked left and right at her braids.

"Well, I don't know about supposed to do it... But it's what they do... I like it."

She smiled at Xander.

"I thought the food was supposed to make you sing Abba or something."

"I like it too," Xander assured her. "It's just kind of impressively gravity-defying, so I didn't want to rule out hallucinations or spells."

He snickered about the singing. "Oh, yeah, Marty. Everything happens to Marty. I think as long as you skip the Hemmhe und Cheeszezuh Sammidgwiches, you're safe from the ABBA."

"Heh, you thik it defying now, you should see it when it's 'down'... Because when it's down... It's not. Ya know?"

Pippi remembered having Hemmhe und Cheeszezuh Sammidgwiches one day with Macbeth and didn't remember any Abba but nodded anyway.

"I'll add that to the list of things to look out for." she says with a smile. "And you lied to me by the way! The math teacher is not a gumball machine! Though he does give out brakefast treats... Which is even better I think."

"I... said that?" Xander tried to remember when he'd said that. Had he even met the math teacher? "Oh, yeah - I think I was saying you couldn't judge by appearances around here, and what you thought was a gumball machine might be the new math teacher. Glad the real one gives out better food, though - I don't have any math classes, but I might end up stopping by anyway. Between that and Professor Ted's free twinkies, I might never have to hit the cafeteria again."

Walter grimaced and realized he hadn't actually ever been introduced to the twinkie-eating weirdo. "I am Walter." He stuck out a hand, that was regrettably (or not) not holding a twinkie.

"Nothing this time," Anders says to the new girl, waving. "Apparently we missed something about gremlins, so I was just tellin' Victor here he's probably better off for it. C'mon over, have a seat."

He smiles and sticks out a hand in greeting. "Hi. Anders."

Pippi takes a seat next to Anders and shakes his hand. Blah blah blah very firm grip for a girl her size but not painfully so.

"I'm not Anders, I'm Pippi... Oh! You're Anders! I think we're on the Beautification Team together."

His eyes widen momentarily at the strength of her grip, but he laughs and shakes her hand anyway. "Hiya, Pippi. So what'd you do to get stuck on that team?"

"I think the final straw was taping the golf cart to the wall outside Smith's office and Pip suggesting that it be used as an inbox... Which he is. You?"

Anders chokes on a gulp of milk at that. "Whoa. That was you guys? Man. That takes some work." He whistles. "And all I did was get in a fight."

"Gremlins?" Walter dropped his heavily laden tray next to Victor's and sat down.

"Hi," he said in general to the table.

"Hey, Walter," Victor said, happy to see his boyfriend. "How has your day been?

"Nothing very interesting until now. I'm still wondering what 'campus beautification' is going to mean." He bumped a shoulder against Victor's and smirked. "Are you sure you want to be seen with us troublemakers," he nodded to Pippi and Anders, "since just one prank landed you in the same boat as we repeat offenders."

Anders gives him a deadpan look. "Talking about gremlins, you're talking to the guy who got bitten by one the first week of school and ended up naked and unconscious in the hallway with a lampshade over his head, and then drawn on, with pictures that showed up all over the dorm. I'd take a troublemaker rep over that any day."

Walter nearly choked on a bite of toorkee. "That's... that is a memorable way to start the school year. Especially with photographic evidence."

And he's not sorry he didn't see the pictures. No, of course not.

"Yes, safer to stay with the troublemakers when you put it that way."

"Gremlins, man." Anders shrugs and pokes a spoon into his soup, looking a little bit sheepish. "Somebody drew flowers all over me while I was out cold, too. And that's why Zero and Parker call me Daisy. Guess there's worse things to be known for, like how Barbossa's never gonna stop calling Logan Echolls 'Logan-who-be-a-bunny,' but still. Y'know?"

Victor raised his eyebrows and leaned in. "And who says I'm not a troublemaker?" he asked with a grin.
