The Library is Open - 01/23

Rory sleepily made her way into the library, coffee in hand, and took her seat behind the desk.

Sure, "happy" or "awake" wouldn't be very apt descriptions today. But really, did that matter?

Rory's here. And awakeish. Sort of.

Slightly more aware of things, Rory is actually sitting up.

She might even be focusing on things.

Fully awake, Rory is busily putting her OCD to work by organizing all the writing utensils behind the desk by color and style.

Sadly, Rory is not here anymore. She has gone to ~~find the phallic and yonic imagery class~~ Carl Jung. Perhaps another aide can help you?

Rory's back, yo.

And she has cookies.

But shh. Sekrit. And she'll deny like whoa if you mention them.

(Unless you're an aide. In which case she'll share.)

Rory is ~~doodling certain special initials in a heart~~ studiously grading some of ACJ's work.

But she can still help you look for stuff. In theory.

Rory's not here AGAIN.

She's gone to ~~stare at Dr. Tommy's smart doctor glasses~~ Paleo.

Other library aides? Maybe one of them can help.

Angela joins Rory behind the desk. "Hey. Good party last night."

"It was, huh?" Rory agreed. "Though I'm still trying to figure out what happened, exactly. Colethazor or whatever his name is was in Angel's body? Because he was trying to mess with the soul?"

She frowned. "He's kind of bad at that, isn't he?"

"I don't get it either," Angela admits. "I think Angel was in Cole --or whatever his name is's body too, maybe? And yeah, we're lucky Cole kind of sucks at magic. I just hope Phoebe Halliwell doesn't randomly decide to help him. I like Phoebe, but ... you know. Weird taste in men."

"See, Phoebe's...eh," Rory made a noncommittal gesture. "I have my issues with her, but it's not exactly like I can question her taste in guys, given my own. But yes, Demon-boy sucks at magic. But do you think Phoebe would help him? I know she, like, loves her boyfriend and all - and again, I don't think I can call the weirdness of that into question - but I didn't think she was evil. Or that dumb, really."

Lee finds himself a corner and starts reading more about that ridiculous little country.

"Not evil or dumb," Angela agrees quickly. "But ... I dunno. I guess what scares me is that he could completely manipulate her into doing something that would help him, even without her realizing exactly what it was. Just because she loves him, you know? But I guess we just need to trust that she won't."

"And yeah, I'm not one to talk about weird taste in guys, given that my ex has, you know. A body count."

Angela is around, flipping through a magazine and lookign at some new books that need to be sorted. She'll get to them, maybe.

After stopping in the Speech class to investigate the teenager teaching the class, Fraser makes his first stop in the library.

He takes off his hat and tucks it under his arm. "Good afternoon."

"I could see that. Him manipulating her and all," Rory nodded. "Have you seen her recently, by the way? I haven't seen her in ages - since before Christmas, I think. I heard she got hurt or something?"

Rory looked up from Emma and dropped the cookie she was holding.

"Um. Hi," she said, staring. "Can I, um, help you?"

"She went to the spa with me and Veronica Mars and some other people yesterday. I only talked to her for a second, but she was out of her wheelchair. Which I guess is good. I didn't get the whole story about how she got hurt -- something about demons." Angela shudders. "She said she was okay physically but not mentally, whatever that means."

"I hope so." He smiles, approaching the desk. "I'm Benton Fraser, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and new head of school security. With the library being closed over the weekend, I didn't get a chance to see it. How are you today?"

Rory arched a brow. "Poor thing," she said sympathetically. "That's kind of weird, that she was at a spa so soon after getting hurt so badly. I mean, I don't think I would want to be doing stuff like that all that quickly. In fact, I know I wouldn't, since I can kind of relate." She gestured vaguely at her neck. "But I guess everyone's different. I mean, maybe it was therapeutic or something."

"You're a Mountie?" Rory asked curiously. "I mean, duh, of course you are, you just said so and, hi, look how you're dressed." She blushed. "I'm fine, um, Mr. Fraser. I'm Rory Gilmore, by the way. Nice to meet you."

"She probably needed the distraction, maybe? Or she didn't want to let Veronica down." Angela shrugs. "But yeah, I see what you're saying. Especially with the whole Cole-Angel bodyswitch thing. You'd think she'd want to be with him, or yell at him, or whatever."

She winces at Rory's gesture to her neck, and is reminded of something almost completely different. "Oh, hey, I was supposed to interview someone about a paranormal experience for sociology. Can I talk to you? I mean, if it won't just bring up really bad stuff."

"Pleasure to meet you as well, Miss Gilmore," Fraser says, smiling. "Are you the librarian?"

Rory smiled. "Of course you can. And any bad stuff that it might bring up has already been mused and worried over too much anyway, so I'll be fine."

The Librarian is around, working on a particularly difficulty Sudoku puzzle.
