Angela smiles. "Hey, Lee. What's with the good mood?"

"Hey!," he says with a broad grin. "I don't know! Just feeling gleeful! So how's Miss Angela today?"

"She's good, I guess," Angela says. "Finally getting over my cold and journalism was cancelled. So things are going really well for Mr. Adama?"

"Apparently!" he says enigmatically. "How was journalism as a class, by the way?"

"Weird, but really good," Angela says. "I like writing, and Mr. Jerusalem made us do a lot of it, you know? I think I'm going to keep it next term, if I can."

"Yeah, and I hear there might be a new teacher though..." Lee says.

"Oh, he's leaving? It doesn't, like, surprise me, but ... I'll miss him. And that cat." She sighs. "Did you hear anything about who we're getting instead?"

"Eh, I just heard something about him leaving when I passed the faculty lounge a couple days back. Don't know much more than that."

"Huh," Angela says, then goes back to sorting books. "I guess we'll know for sure when they announce the classes for next term."

"Yeah, I hope that's coming up soon! I'd like to know what I need to get a head start on in my reading material this break."

"I don't think I'll be, like, that responsible," Angela admits. "I just want to know so I can figure out what I'm taking. At least it seems like teachers have finally stopped disappearing, so maybe we'll actually keep what we sign up for all term."

Lee laughs. "Yeah, about half my teachers disappeared. Odd that."

"I got lucky -- I only lost Senator Amidala, and I think she got called home instead of just vanishing into thin air. But I think I'm practically the only person who kept most of the classes they signed up for."

Lee grins. "Impressive! What classes are you taking, as a matter of interest?"

"As a matter of interest," Angela says with a slow grin, "I took journalism, creative writing, criminology, geology -- which, ugh, never taking science again -- and ethics. Not sure what I'm doing next term."

"What about you?"

"Geology, Ancient World history, poetry, speech 201, Cyborg theory...something else probably..."

"But yeah, I'm looking forward to see what's on the schedule for next term."

"That's right, you were in my geology and writing classes," Angela says. "I just get in this class bubble, y'know? Rory was in about three things with me and I almost never said hi to her in class."

"Hey, speaking of, do you know anything about Rory and Anakin?" Lee asks, not realizing that he's gossiping like a gossiping thing, zomg.

Angela's eyes get very very wide and she just stares at Lee for a second, then lowers her voice, also gossiping like a gossiing thing. "No. I mean, I know Logan and Rory were fighting, but ... they kind of do that a lot."

"Anakin is so nice, though. Probably they're just friends."

"Logan and Rory are fighting? Really?" he whispers, pondering if Veronica has anything to do with it. "Anakin's really a good guy, though," and he lowers his voice, "A little nicer than Logan, if you ask me."

"Yeah, something about Veronica Mars giving Logan a lapdance at Caritas. Veronica called me, she says it was a gremlin bite." She tucks a strand of hair behind one ear. "He's ... a good boyfriend to Rory most of the time," she continues loyally. "But, yeah, I'd rather hang out with Anakin. He makes you feel safe, you know?"

"But I'm dating Marty Blank, so I kind of can't question anybody else's taste in guys."

"Those gremlins are tricky little bastards," Lee says with a sigh and then something clicks in his head. "Wait... you said Veronica gave Logan a lapdance--- did Veronica give Angel a lapdance too by any chance?" he asks. If this is true, Lee's going to punch Angel in the nose for lying to him about John. OMG.

"Yeah, Anakin's a safe bet," Lee agrees.

He grins at the mention of Marty. "I enjoyed staying at his house last weekend. He's got a kickass kitchen."

Angela shakes her head. "I have no idea if anything happened with Veronica and Angel. We got there just in time to see her and Logan, and then Rory left really fast and I went after her."

She pouts playfully. "I think everybody I know got to see my boyfriend's apartment, and I didn't, 'cause I was sick. But he brought mne a french bear, so that kind of makes up for it."

Lee looks flustered, still wondering if Angel was lying about John giving him a lapdance to cover for Veronica or something. Hrm.

"A lot of people got those nice french bears," Lee says with a nod. "I'm sorry that I never made it to that Shwartz store or whatever it's called."

"FAO Schwarz, yeah," Angela says. "What shopping did you do in Chicago?"
