The Library (Thursday)

Around ten, Zero comes by the library and, realizing it's still locked down, sets about opening it up. The first person to enter will find that half of the lights are still off and a very pissed-off pink cat is sitting on the Circulations Desk.

Lee comes in and studies quietly.

Zero would appreciate it if Lee could hit the lights for her, as she is a wee pink kitty and cannot do it herself. However, since she was unable to transform on demand for Mr. Flinkman the day before, she has no voice collar and cannot communicate this effectively.

Nodding at Lee as she comes in, Elizabeth frowns when she sees the cat on the Circulations Desk and heads towards it.

As the lights are out, Lee finds them and turns them on, smiling at the wee pretty kitty.

Angela enters the library for another day of training. "That's Zero," she explains to Elizabeth. "She's a pink cat, sometimes."

She bends down to be looking directly at Zero. "Is there anything you want me to do?"

*Zero approves of this. Lee is clearly a very intelligent young man.*

*Zero nods and tilts back her head to show the tag on her stretchy collar, which reads:

Elizabeth giggles at the tag. "Don't worry, hon. I won't eat you. Petting's okay though?"

"Morning Angela," Elizabeth smiles at her, before turning back to Zero. "Okay, yeah, I see it. The pink sorta gives it away."

Parker comes in, and seeing Zero as a kitten, sighs. "Again?"

"Something needs to happen to those books?" Angela guesses. "Um, shelving? Is that it? Where?"

Leaning against the collections desk, Elizabeth fusses the little cat. "I'm gonna have to ask you what you did to get yourself turned into a cat," she says. "Obviously not when you're a cat, because I don't speak cat."

Again. It seems to be lastin' less an' less. Squall, my coffee's probably cold by now.

"Hi, Parker. She was, but I guess she isn't anymore," Angela says.

She turns to Zero. "Hey, what happens to your clothes when you switch? I mean, the cat isn't wearing them, and you are."

*This is okay, because a little after Parker comes in, Zero turns back into a real girl!*

Hi, Elizabeth. How's it goin'?

"More than likely. We really do need to get a coffee maker for here, one that makes a decent cup." Parker shakes her head, and perches on her usual stool. "Does anyone know how long it's going to take for the cat thing to wear off? I'm just hoping it doesn't happen in the middle of one of your finals."

I have no squallin' clue. Parker got me a collar, an' it stays, but my clothes don'. Maybe that's because she put it on me while I was still a cat, though.
