The Library (Thursday)

Around ten, Zero comes by the library and, realizing it's still locked down, sets about opening it up. The first person to enter will find that half of the lights are still off and a very pissed-off pink cat is sitting on the Circulations Desk.

Nodding at Lee as she comes in, Elizabeth frowns when she sees the cat on the Circulations Desk and heads towards it.

"You're a pretty kitty, aren't you?" Elizabeth said, stroking the top of the cat's head. "And you're probably a student. Am I right?"

Angela enters the library for another day of training. "That's Zero," she explains to Elizabeth. "She's a pink cat, sometimes."

She bends down to be looking directly at Zero. "Is there anything you want me to do?"

*Zero pokes at a stack of books that need to be shelved with her paw.*

"Something needs to happen to those books?" Angela guesses. "Um, shelving? Is that it? Where?"

*Zero pokes at the labels on the spines, which indicate these go in the music section.*

Angela reads the labels. "Music. Which is in the 780s, yeah?" she asks, consulting the Dewey Decimal System chart near the desk.

She carries the books over to the shelves and puts them back -- getting most in the right places. When she comes back, Zero is a girl again.

"Morning Angela," Elizabeth smiles at her, before turning back to Zero. "Okay, yeah, I see it. The pink sorta gives it away."

*Zero nods and tilts back her head to show the tag on her stretchy collar, which reads:

DO NOT
EAT ME*

Elizabeth giggles at the tag. "Don't worry, hon. I won't eat you. Petting's okay though?"

Leaning against the collections desk, Elizabeth fusses the little cat. "I'm gonna have to ask you what you did to get yourself turned into a cat," she says. "Obviously not when you're a cat, because I don't speak cat."

*This is okay, because a little after Parker comes in, Zero turns back into a real girl!*

Not surprised. She's disappeared twice. I wasn' too worried this second time because, squall, she came back the first time, right? But now I'm startin' to wonder.

I wouldn' be surprised. Poor girl. It took her to the '80s once, back at the beginnin' of term.
