Ethics Class - catch up session, 10am-4pm

Tara posts the class list on the door, as promised in her email, detailing the gaps in each student's participation. Penned at the bottom in a neat round hand is a note: Some of you may have discussed these with TAs out of class. Please inform me if this is the case.

She looks happy and well-rested as she sets up discussion stations around the room.

[ooc: I'll put names on the comment threads for the people who haven't completed them, rather than listing up here. Because I'm odd that way.]

It sounds pretty serious to Jonathan. And he liked Tara enough not to outwardly cringe at her shortening his name. Because he was nice like that and it's not like they were strangers or anything.

"So, The Ethics of Magic will be a pretty big part of the course then?" he asks.

"Yeah, though I'm sure she wouldn't mind a refresher on the basics, you're probably right," Jonathan tells her, "She's going to be so excited to be have a tutor, to have *you* as her tutor."

"She was just really impressed by the whole souling thing. Really impressed. So impressed it made me think I should have been more impressed. She's known a lot of famous witches and wizards in her world and she seemed to think a lot of them wouldn't have had the control or focus for a spell like that," Jonathan tells her.

Jonathan just smiles at that, "You really are to modest Tara, I mean, the spell was difficult, really difficult and you did it. It's an accomplishment, despite your own ambiguous feelings about it, you did something huge."

"If you didn't power it then that kind of proves my point about it being a pretty big spell right? I mean, if you didn't power it then the power came from somewhere else which means that the power is much more easy to come by than the control and focus to use it," he says, "I mean, maybe I'm wrong but that's kind of how it sounds to me."

Jonathan smiles at that, "Well if you insist," he teases but then sobers, "I mean if I'm wrong go ahead and tell me, I mean, I don't want to accidentally offend anyone with my magical ignorance so I think it's best if I were told by you right?"

Jonathan shrugs and tucks his hair back from his face, "I guess it's just the way I see the world, the way I see you," he looks at her, "You really are amazing Tara and I try can be more like you. With any luck i will be. And it sounds true because it is, all I'm doing is pointing out the truth you sometimes don't see."
