The doors to the study hall have been unlocked, and Dream sits inside.

He is piping in Christmas carols in an effort to continue the principal's early manifestation of the holiday spirit.

John comes into study hall quietly. He takes a seat in the middle of the classroom and pretends to doodle on his notebook.

Cally wanders in, and sits next to John, poking at her QP books.

"Howdy."

John jumps a little but calms down when he sees it's just Cally.

"Hey there. Haven't seen you in a while."

"Been kinda busy, I guess. Been out and about with Anders a lot, what with visiting Rory and Logan and all. Oh, and the Fair, too." Cally smiles and flips her book closed and turns to John.

"How 'bout you? You seem a little jumpy. Something wrong?"

"Rory and Logan, yeah. Me too." John frowns. "And nothing's wrong. What with all that happened this weekend, I'm just a little freaked out. That's all."

Liar.

"What all happened, anyways? All I know is that Rory and Logan got hurt... not much more than that."

"Uh, something with Angelus." John words his sentences very carefully. "He did something to them, I think."

"Whoa." Cally's jaw drops. "Angelus? Why?"

John shakes his head and lies like a rug. "Don't know. I've just heard rumors and stuff."

"Oh, phew." Cally breathes a sigh of relief. "People were making stuff up about Angelus before, so I'm sure they're making stuff up now. ...speaking of, I've not seen him around in a while. Anybody know why that is?"

Anders takes a seat next to Cally and sleepily rests his head on her shoulder.

"You're such a wuss," John says and laughs. "I think you need to not go to sleep so late, Anders."

"Frak off, Crichton," replies Anders lightly, tossing a gumball at him. "I'm fine, honest."

John catches the gumball and pops it in his mouth. "I'm sure you are fine. Guys have a decent weekend?"

"Busy, yeah, but good." Anders nods and snuggles further into Cally's shoulder. "Spent most of it in the clinic, though. Visiting and stuff. You get a chance to check out that Harvest Festival thing?"

"Nah, spent most of the weekend in my room," John tells him. "Was kind of busy."

"Ah, too bad, man. It was a pretty good time. If I'd thought about it I'd have brought you back something." Rolling another gumball over to John, Anders asks, "So . . . you're staying over this Thanksgiving break thing too, right?"

"Yep, I'm staying," John says. "Aeryn too. I'd have more fun here then at home anyway."

"Hey champ," she says, smiling. "I, erm... keep you up too late?"

"Nope," replies Anders cheerfully, snuggling into her shoulder. "Not at --" he yawns -- "all."

"Good. Hate to think I was bein' a bad influence, all of a sudden." She reaches up and sruffles the back of his hair. "You go on your run, this morning?"

"Not a bad influence. You're the best influence ever, promise. And yeah, I went on my run. What, you didn't notice I wasn't there when you woke up?" teases Anders.

"I dunno, just worried you might've, maybe, fallen asleep half-way through, or something. You look the teensiest bit extra-tired, that's all."

Anders pokes Cally in the stomach. "Well, that's just silly. Why would I ever have any reason to be extra-tired?"

Cally shrugs and giggles as she is poked. "I'm just crazy this morning, I guess... You got any more gum?"
