Parker is very slightly hungover. Plus, she just heard the Dean's announcement.

This would not be a good time to mess with the library aide. She is wondering if Rory and Logan are awake, hoping they're not, and wishing she had her holy water handgun right now as she checks the card catalog for books on magical protection from vampires.

Janet yawned and popped a couple of ibuprofin "Next time you plan on getting in a screaming fight in the library, Parker, could you think of other people and not do it?" she muttered, ignoring the vicious discussion going on not-too-far away and pulling out a notebook to work on her independent study instead.

In fear of another being-chased-by-Zero-with-a-mallet scene, Camerno headed down to the library to renew the book he'd borrowed. He looked a bit wary as he noticed the arguing going on, but it seemed that Angel was doing alright so instead her head for where Janet was sitting.

Sam entered the library, saw Parker arguing with a guy who was apparently this Angel guy, and made a beeline over to Cameron and Janet. She dumped her stuff on the floor next to the desk. "Morning."

She spotted the bottle of ibuprofen and stuck her hand out. "Janet, angel of mercy, please help me kill this headache and never let me drink that much wine ever again."

"Geez, I stay a night in my room and you guys have a party without me?"

"Nope, we had a Parker-tell-us-what's-going-on girls' night," said Janet. "With too much wine." She handed over more prescription-strength ibuprofin to Sam, and pulled a bottle of water out of her backpack to give her too. "A party would have been much more fun."

"I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it had to do with that," he said, vaguely waving in the direction where Parker and Angel.

Janet nodded, then winced. "You're a genius." She glared impartially at Parker and Angel. "Too loud," she said.

"So what did you do this weekend?"

"Good assumption," Sam replied, as she gratefully took the bottle of ibuprofen and the water, then took more medication. "Seriously, Janet--hard liquor's not a problem, but wine and beer get me every time. You'd think I'd remember that by now."

She leaned over the counter and whispered, "So, what's going on about Kawalsky's birthday?"

"Work mostly," Cameron replied to Janet, leaving out the part where he went to watch the docs cut bullets out of Angel's chest.

"It's Kawalsky's birthday?"

"More fun movies, huh?" asked Janet. "Are they ever going to show anything good there?"

"Yeah," said Janet. "He's trying not to make a big deal of it."

"Actually, it was Prince of Thieves. I think they could have gone a lot worse."

"I can imagine why," Cameron considered it. "We should at least do something, even if it's just a get together and some booze."

"You have the weirdest tolerance for alcohol of anyone I know," said Janet. "Except for Daniel."

"I don't think he wants a big deal," said Janet. "I was thinking of maybe getting him a cake from the NPC Grocery today, though, and making sure at least a few people are around tonight."

"Daniel has no tolerance for alcohol," Sam laughed. "As he has proved on more than one occasion."

"That sounds good. Hopefully they'll be letting Jack out of the hospital sometime tonight, so he won't feel all left out."

"He's almost well," said Janet. "I half-suspect they're keeping him in there to see how stir-crazy they can make him."

*Currently having the typical kittenish attention span, Zero gets distracted by the smell of coffee, which she hasn't had since Thursday, and begins attempting to crawl into Janet's cup.*

Cameron blinks as he notices the pink cat. "Err, Janet. I think you're going to get cat hair in your cup if you don't watch out." He says as he reaches over and tries to stop the kitty from crawling into the cup.

*Bites at Cameron's hand, but doesn't quite connect.* Mraw.

"Oookay," Cameron quickly pulls back his hand and stares down at the cat. "Why do I get the feeling the cat is trying to say something?"

*looks up, licking coffee off her whiskers.*

Cameron blinks. He swore he understood that.

*Shows off her collar and name badge to Cameron by tilting her head back.

"Oh! Sorry, Zero. I didn't realise..." He says, somewhat sheepishly. "Er, a cat and pink? That's gotta suck."

"Zero, I'm having a very bad day," says Janet. Her voice is very, very calm. "And I'm hung over. Do you really want to get between me and my coffee?"

*sulkily backs away from the coffee, tail tucked down in submissiveness*

"Thank you," says Janet. "Besides, your circulatory system is too small to handle the amount of caffeine in coffee. It's not healthy for you."
