The Library is open (11/21/2005)

Parker is very slightly hungover. Plus, she just heard the Dean's announcement.

This would not be a good time to mess with the library aide. She is wondering if Rory and Logan are awake, hoping they're not, and wishing she had her holy water handgun right now as she checks the card catalog for books on magical protection from vampires.

I actually haven't talked to him at all. In a while. [She sighs] Whatever he told you...maybe it's all gone to hell. I don't know.

Blinking, Parker says, "I ... very seriously doubt that. I mean, not the way he was mooning around here on Thursday." She shakes her head. "I didn't see him over the weekend, but, please believe me, Professor. He isn't one to put up with the crap Zero and Janet and I gave him without a good reason."

Parker gives her a look. "Well, you're not the One, you're the Two. Aren't you? I would assume that makes a difference." She holds up her hands. "Not that I want to know, not that I'm judging, you're much more grown-up than me, it's all good...."

I don't think I'm in the Two, Parker. Only sometimes does two and two make three. It's ok. I'll deal. I just wish I'd known.

Parker pinches the bridge of her nose. "Okay, you just lost me." And grimaces. "And *this* is why we gave him a hard time! How can we make sure the Library runs smoothly if he insists on not telling us important stuff!"

Parker looks torn. "No, it's okay, Professor. Why don't you just wait? He'll be in ... well, eventually. Not that he's ever here before us. And," she waves her arms, "What would I *tell* him if you left now? 'Professor Cregg is freaking out, you nimrod, buy her flowers'?"
