The Library is open (11/21/2005)

Parker is very slightly hungover. Plus, she just heard the Dean's announcement.

This would not be a good time to mess with the library aide. She is wondering if Rory and Logan are awake, hoping they're not, and wishing she had her holy water handgun right now as she checks the card catalog for books on magical protection from vampires.

Marty looks up from his book and gives CJ a weak smile.

"Trouble? me? Why does everyone think I'm trouble?"

[OOC:Mail notifications suck. Will be refreshing often]

Everyone? Hmm...guess I'll have to think up a new nickname all for you then. [She appraises him for a while, then smiles.] Let's try this again.

[She steps back a few paces and approaches him again, sitting on the table beside him.]

Hey, puddin'.

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Marty laughs and then quickly stops and winces in pain. "Okay... no making me laugh today. Really. I heard that the Faire was a great success of the weekend, your highness."

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
It was. I had a lot of fun...until Saturday night when I had to go to Mr. Phale's. That sucked. But...I got lots of stuff and made new friends, so that was good.

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Marty blinked a couple of times. "Mr. Phale? What happened?"

[OOC: Handwavey version of telling the story is fine]

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[ooc/ic: Handwavey version given, with extra emphasis on how cool I am making him all glowey, and Crowley being ever so sad cuz, dammit, I worked hard for that]

If it hadn't been for Tara, he would have died. Which is ironic, because if it hadn't been for Tara, he'd have never been that way in the first place.

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
A look of guilt and worry crosses over his face. "I'm the one who helped convinced Tara to do it. I didn't think that it would almost him. I wouldn't have done it if I had known."

"But he's okay now? And you? How are you doing now after all of what you did?"

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[She shrugs] I'm fine. It really wasn't anything on me. Three hours of praying is a little rough on the knees. I understand he's doing better. Crowley was outside smoking this morning, so I take that as a good sign.

Marty? Can I ask...why? Why not just kill him?

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Because... well it's hard to explain really. Parker had done research into the whole situation and apparently there are several prophecies about 'Angel' that talk about him being a 'warrior for good' and will play a prominent role somehow in the 'End of Days'."

"Personally? I don't like the idea of him being around, souled or non-souled. After what happened to Rory, Logan and Kitty? I don't trust him. I don't I ever can."

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[She smiles knowingly at him] You think someone who's killed and hurt so many can't turn it around if given the chance? Puddin?

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Marty sighs. "Yes, I know it's hypocrisy but it's mine and I own it. I feed it a saucer of milk every night. Besides there's a big difference between him and me. I won't become an undead manipulative killing machine if someone removes my soul."

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I dare say, you're getting over that moral flexibility, puddin'. Man I like saying that. Puddin' [She laughs softly.] Don't worry about it, Marty. Just keep it in your pants, we're supposed to be...nice. Or something.

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Marty gives CJ a small grin. "I find that my morality is less flexible when it comes to the people I care about. I'm not going after the guy. In fact I think I'm going to have to work with him, so I fully intend to keep whatever you think I need to keep in my pants in there. Though if you're asking me to keep pudding in my pants, I think that deserves further discussion."

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Smiling withpure joy] Can I call you puddin'pants, then? Marty...you're a good kid. I know you'll do good with this situation. And you know I've got your back...right? Did I say that right? Got your back?

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"You can call me puddin' pants only if I get to call you Claudia Jean. And I know you have my back, just like you know I have yours, right?"

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-11-21 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely...Puddin'. [She smiles brightly and pats his shoulder.] So are you ok Marty? HArd to miss that flinch.
