Ok, we've played games, now let's bring it back...honesty and communication. Tell me what you understand about honesty and it's role as relates to influence, manipulation, friendship, trust and reciprocity? How do we recognize honesty? In what ways do we try to assure the honesty of those we communicate with? And what about body language? Is body language honest?

And now tell me how this fits with sender/message/receiver.

Why are trust and honesty so closely related, Sydney?

"Because you can't be honest with someone you can't trust and therefore you can't build a relationship, and if they can't be honest with you, then you can't trust them."

But what if dishonesty is the basis of that relationship, and you both recognize that?

When we live a lie, how do we cope? What are some things we do to stay grounded in reality? In honesty with ourselves if no one else?

And do we? Can we accept that message when we are both sender AND receiver? [She looks at Sydney softly. She can tell she's getting to one of Sydney's issues...and she steps lightly, ready to back off at any second.]
