Flight Club [Tuesday evening after Safe Walk meeting]

In addition to the flight simulator, Anakin has managed to squeeze a couple dozen chairs and a movie screen into the shed.

His eyes are tired and slightly haunted as he turned to speak to the club members. "Tonight the sim has been reprogrammed back to the original Jedi Starfighter. You can see if your skills on the other sims in recent weeks have helped you with the first ship we learned on. In addition to the straight flight sequence, there is also a combat sequence available if you wish to try it."

He gestured at the movie screen. "In addition, inspired by last week's sim work of an Earth-based ship, I've rented the movie Top Gun from NPC Video Store in town. Some of the flying is pretty impressive ~~and the volleyball sequence isn't half-bad, either.~~"

"Anakin?" Beka approached, quiet, and somewhat subdued herself. "You OK?"

"I've had better days," he muttered.

"You want to talk? I'm good with the listening if you need," she offered, without pressuring.

"Bad dream," he said shortly. "Gonna write Obi-Wan about it." He shrugged, then looked at her. "How are you?"

She nodded, accepting his need for privacy. "Hope tonight's better." Rolling her head on her shoulders like she'd been very tense, or slept poorly, she said, "Fight with Bel, among other things. Getting better though."

"Kinda afraid to try," he muttered under his breath. He turned concerned eyes on her. "A fight with Bel? That can't be fun. Want to talk about it?"

She cocked her head, clearly concerned. "I'd offer stargazing, if we weren't stuck here... I don't sleep much. Call if you want company." Then it was her turn to mutter, "Gotta be better than tossing and turning about demons and temptations and bruises."

She met his gaze. "Not so much. Talked to Angelus last night. Long damned story and I'm still tired ~~and mortified from being so pathetic in my need for his approval~~ from telling it. It's just on my mind. Gotta talk to Bel after this."

"I'll be fine," he said, trying to convince her. "I think I'll probably spend some time in the sim, tire myself out. Maybe that way I won't dream."

"That's fine. Long damned stories are exhausting to repeat. And talking with Belthazor is a good idea." He shifted his shoulders. "Not one of my favorite beings, of course, but I know you like him."

"All right. You know how to find me," she said, accepting and closing the issue. "Long damned stories are...long. Bel's a friend. He's not afraid of the dark."

"Sometimes it's smart to be afraid of the dark," Anakin said, his eyes staring into the distance. He shook his hard sharply. "Sorry." He looked over his shoulder. "I suppose I should lock up the sim soon."

"Don't be. Sorry, that is. It is smart. But sometimes you have to look it in the face." She had the distinct impression at that moment that Anakin had a lot more worries about the dark than she did. If only there was a way to tell him that she understood and it wouldn't make her think less of him. A warm smile was what she had to offer at that moment, so it's what she gave. "Go on. I'm all right."

"Anakin, I need to talk to you about a Flight Club field trip. See, the old lady took some damage, so me and Chewie're headed over to Deneb during this next big weekend break to get some hull plating. Thought we'd see if anyone wanted to hitch a lift, get some space time. If the administration approves."

"I'll have to run that past Professor Amidala and the Dean, of course, but I'm sure there are some folks here who would leap at the chance to get out of here for a while."

"All right, Pumpkin, let's have the details," Beka said, flopping down onto the ground.

*eek-faces a little, before sitting down next to Beka* Like... how much detail? I mean, do you really want to know all of it?

Beka stuck out her tongue. "Whatever you want to tell me. You wanted to talk, remember?"

I did? You're the one who asked about it, if I remember. You wanted to know, so... ask me. You want info, you're gonna have to get it out of me *sticks her tongue out at Beka*

"Chicken. That's your new nickname if you don't spit it out. Give me the double-Us first. You get off easy, since I already know the who and the what, so add the 'how' to compensate."

Okay... When? Erm... well, it depends. Cause, like it was more than once... and I dunno if, like, what we did the last two nights technically counts, either.

And Why? Well... d'uh. Cause we love each other.

"You love him?" Beka blinked at that. "How'd I miss that happening? Bad friend. After you tell me the how so I can figure out whether the last two nights count, then I want to hear about the falling in love business. That's serious. Sex is just...sex. ~~Unless it's WTF, then it's sex with Bel and that rocks.~~

Well, I mean, like... Thursday (http://www.livejournal.com/users/sogothcally/11847.html?thread=230983#t230983), it just sorta happened, you know? It was... special. And, well, there was a bit of, erm, ow.

Saturday (http://www.livejournal.com/users/futurebucs_star/14998.html), well... that was more kinda planned. And, like, we just sorta... did it. There was, you know, touching, and nibbling, and caressing, and licking, and stuff. You know?

Beka gave her a quick hug. "There's always a bit of ow the first time. ~~And after that there can be a lot more ow and that's good too.~~ Must not have been too bad, or you wouldn't have done it again. Glad of that," she said warmly.

"As for the hands...that's all to the good. Dunno if it's sex or not sex, but if everyone got happy, call it a win either way."

Her mouth twisted and she looked concerned for a minute. "He is getting you off, right?"

*thankfully, Cally is neither eating nor drinking, so that comment doesn't cause her to choke to death*

Erm... Yeah. Definitely. Very. Very. Definitely.

Beka took one look at Cally's face and just laughed... until the pain in her ribs drew her up sharp. "Good to know," she said finally. "So, it's good sex and you're having fun. Sounds like you don't need too many pointers. And you're getting more than I am right now." She nudged Cally with her shoulder.
