Flight Club [Tuesday evening after Safe Walk meeting]

In addition to the flight simulator, Anakin has managed to squeeze a couple dozen chairs and a movie screen into the shed.

His eyes are tired and slightly haunted as he turned to speak to the club members. "Tonight the sim has been reprogrammed back to the original Jedi Starfighter. You can see if your skills on the other sims in recent weeks have helped you with the first ship we learned on. In addition to the straight flight sequence, there is also a combat sequence available if you wish to try it."

He gestured at the movie screen. "In addition, inspired by last week's sim work of an Earth-based ship, I've rented the movie Top Gun from NPC Video Store in town. Some of the flying is pretty impressive and the volleyball sequence isn't half-bad, either."

"Don't be. Sorry, that is. It is smart. But sometimes you have to look it in the face." She had the distinct impression at that moment that Anakin had a lot more worries about the dark than she did. If only there was a way to tell him that she understood and it wouldn't make her think less of him. A warm smile was what she had to offer at that moment, so it's what she gave. "Go on. Anakin waved over his shoulder, heading towards the sim to blow up some Separatist droids. Maybe if he could immerse himself in the present the future would loom quite so ominously in front of him.
