"I was pretty busy yesterday," says Janet. "So don't worry about it. I was just giving you a hard time. How was the trip?" She gestures for Liz to give her the notes.
"I now only have one class on a Monday now," Elizabeth remarks. She blushes slightly as she hands over the notes (http://web.indstate.edu/thcme/mwking/amino-acid-metabolism.html). "It was good. It was nice to get out of Fandom for a while you know."
"Hardly," said Janet. "Come on, this is the stuff that proteins are constructed from. I mean, Liz, we're talking about some of the most basic, integral functions necessary for life here." Janet's eyes gleamed.
"Ooh, I do," said Janet appreciatively. "Nice. So did you guys actually get out at all, or did you stay in the whole weekend?"
Janet rolled her eyes and looked at Liz. "Please. There are far more interesting things here than amino acids. Besides, didn't you say you needed help with them?"
"Ouch, practically no fun at all when it rains," said Janet. "Though you have to expect that in Colorado Springs this time of year."
"There are lots more interesting things than amino acids, I agree," Elizabeth grinned. "And I do. There are words, and things and they're making no sense to me!"
"I don't mind the rain," she replied, shrugging. "Besides, it wasn't as if we were there to sightsee, y'know?"
"So what's not making sense?" asked Janet. "Let's see what I can help with."
Janet giggled. "Good point. So you had lots of fun, then? Oh, I almost forgot!" She slipped a small baggie of chocolate chip cookies out of her backpack and handed them to Liz. "Don't eat these in the library too obviously. I saved some for you."

"We actually went to Colorado... do you know Hot Sulphur Springs?"

"A bit," she said. "It rained though, which was less fun."

She grinned, and nodded. "Oooh, cookies!! You're the best!"

"I know," said Janet, grinning.
