Library, Wednesday [12/7]

Gabrielle wasn't sure she'd call what she did this morning opening the library, exactly, when people had been all but living in there for the past week and a half. Refreshing it, maybe, or no, that wasn't quite --

Semantic exercises were beside the point. The point was that she came in, straightened up as best she could without disturbing any stacks of books that might be research, and left a box of baked goods outside Belle's office door since gods knew she had basically been living in there.

She got a fresh pot of coffee going, prepped filter baskets of grounds for three more, and was ready to call the library good to go for the day.

"Does it? You'd think a book like this would give pointers on how to maybe reverse something in case you got it wrong." Which, Kitty doubted, but she never would have thought this book existed, so.

"No." Francine flipped to the back and held up the open page. "It ends with, "Congratulations, you have ruined everything. Aren't you proud?'"

"You need a new book," Kitty said.

"You're telling me. If you see one called How to REPAIR the Universe in 10 Easy Steps, let me know."

Because Francine would somehow be able to follow the instructions in that one, clearly.
