What was the School Board thinking blah blah blah

When the students entered the dangershop they would find that the shop had been transformed into a mad scientist's lab. Complete with Jamie duplicates. In lab coats again.

"Welcome back students," Jamie said his hair looking... almost normal. Definitely a few shades darker than normal and closely cropped to his head. "Today we are going to answer one of the most difficult questions asked throughout time..."

He paused for dramatic effect. Then thought it needed more drama so he paused more. Now it was too much. Oh well.

"That question? Simple. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop."

Jamie sighed in delight. "Now the world will finally know."

James grabbed a green pop and started licking. Mmm, apple. Maybe the sugar high would keep him from glaring at his instructor and the idiocy of this test (despite the free sweets).

Warren shrugged and made a reach for a lollipop. It wasn't like it could hurt anything, really. After all, on the scale of Jamie classes so far, this one was practically normal.

Wait for it...

"... Oh. There's the bacon taste."

To make up for the disappointing doorknob, he supposed.

Annie had no idea what flavor she got. She wasn't exactly convinced it was a flavor that should exist in nature, or if it had to exist, then it definitely wasn't something anyone should discover.

Cara waited to make sure none of her more suicidal classmates started acting oddly before letting her pop anywhere near her mouth. It was some kind of berry.

Since she wanted to get this over with as soon as possible she was ignoring that 'licking only' rule.

Sam grabbed any lollipop and started licking. He didn't really mind this test even if it was kind of silly. He was getting a grade for it and hey, he had nothing better to do for awhile.

Mercy used her excellent sense of smell to make sure she got a good tasting one. Raspberry. She wasn't exactly licking it as much as sucking on it, but close enough.

Freddie grabbed a lollipop and gave it a test lick.

"Awww man, who makes a cumin flavored lollipop?" he whined.

Ben took an experimental lick of his green lollipop and made a face. Guess the world was about to find out how many licks it was going to take to get to the center of a jalapeno pepper pop...

Seifer ended up with one of the chocolate ones, and he wasn't one to waste an opportunity to waste time in class. So he was going to sit here and slowly lick the lollipop.

Goose debated which one to take and eventually settled on a red pop, which after a couple of licks he discovered tasted like cherry.

"Why," Richie asked, giving his lollipop a wary look, "would you want to lick one of these anyway? I always wondered about that stupid kid and the owl. Just bite the thing. Licking it is weird."

Absolutely.

"You know, if we could measure the amount of dissolving power in an average human lick, we could create a licking machine to figure this out way more efficiently."

Perhaps too much about scientific experiments, really.

Trufax, in middle school I refused to plan my science fair project for the three months I had to work on it, then ended up trying to pass the Tootsie Pop counting thing off as a legit experiment. I... didn't get the best grade.
