Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III
In order to give people a place to get away from the traffic jam of the buffet and information tables, most of the chairs and tables had been set up further out on the lawn, away from the school building. The bonfires were going strong, and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and enjoy themselves. Assuming they weren't too busy still trying to figure this place out.

"I'll definitely help you," he said with a nod. "It's going to take some work, but I can get you to a point where you can defend yourself."
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
You know, on top of that whole 'ex best friend wants to kill me' situation being a great motivator.
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
"You know, I might start you off with a long knife rather than a sword," Luke told her. "It requires a little more skill, since it's short range, but it might be more useful for you in the real world since it's easier to hide."
Carrying around a sword wasn't really practical.
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
She nodded again. "Sounds good. Sounds smart. 'Cause this really is kind of a real world situation."

Because that would be even better.

That came out wry. Vampires and monsters were tricky business for her, but it was good to know it was simpler for a type of bronze, at least.
"So no chance of me embarrassing myself by cutting my fingers off, that's... definitely good." She almost smiled, but didn't really get there. "So, when do you think we could start?"
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
"We can start whenever you want," he said. "I'm usually in the salle every day anyway. It's like a second home to me."
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
She tugged absently on her scarf. "Well, I don't see myself doing much but brooding tomorrow, so that would work fine for me?"
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
Well he could snap his fingers and get one right now, but he figured that would be frowned upon at a school function.
Re: More General Mingling [Spring 2011]
That was one awkward-sounding thank you, right there. But she'd had a rough time lately.

... Okay, back to the edges of the crowd. Wasn't like she'd suddenly gotten any more willing to socialize.
