Ethics [Thursday, October 7th, 2nd period]

The Danger Shop had been transformed into a different world when the Ethics class arrived: An incredibly dry, hot one which smelled really bad.

Anakin waved his hand around the room. "Welcome to the embodiment of gluttony," he said, "the palace of a Hutt."

He concentrated on the controls on the far side of the room, and the simulation sprung to life: dozens of beings of all shapes, sizes, and degrees of cleaniless (ranging from 'casual acquaintance with soap' to 'water is eeeeeevil') drinking, eating, and dancing. All activity centered around a slug of a beast laying on a raised dais (not that it really had many other options for range of motion) at the front of the room.

"That," Anakin said, nose wrinkling in disgust as he pointed, "is a Hutt. This particular version is named Jabba, and is one of the most powerful crime lords in the galaxy." Or was, but he wouldn't exactly be mentioned what happened to Jabba with Leia running around Fandom. "Today is an interactive experience for you. Take a good hard look around. See the effects that gluttony can have."

Okay, she'd looked around, this was gross, Medusalith was ready to leave now. And possibly burn these shoes. But class wasn't over, was it? Damnation.

Also? She was holding a puppy.

"It is a dog," Medusalith said, scandalized. She twisted her body to move the puppy away from the alien woman (presumably) and moved her hair to more effectively shield it. "A very small dog, and it is not to be eaten."

The music was amusing.

Yeah, that was all Scully had. Everything else was just so, so, so non-sterile.

"I'd be enjoying it more if there were no chains, about a billion tons of cleanser, and what the hell is that smell?" Scully asked, visibly shuddering.

Cara quickly found a spot that where she could keep an eye on as many exits as possible and leant back against the wall.

Simulation or no, her palms itched for her agiels.

Cara inclined her head. "And my last if I have anything to say about it," she drawled, looking the girl over.

There was a world of difference between not touching, and not looking.

For once, Cara decided to forgo the weird reaction she'd getting for calling herself Mord'Sith. "In a manner of speaking." The manner called lying.

The one thing Elphaba liked about this place was the variety of creatures, all shapes and sizes and colors. Here, she wasn't the odd one.

But that was the extent of it, as otherwise the place bothered her.

"Munchkinland, in Oz," Elphaba said. She could help but smile a bit. "You're right, I am not a Twi'lek. Is that what you are?"

"I honestly don't know," Elphaba said, looking apologetic. "I barely knew of lands beyond the country of Oz before I left for school, and now there are worlds beyond even that. I wouldn't know what world Oz is on unless someone told me."

Yes, yes, Jono was well aware that he probably should have been absorbing some sort of great life lesson by looking around this den of glut and debauchery and all of that.

... But there was a band. Really, he couldn't possibly be expected to look around if there was live entertainment, could he?

He was standing not far from the source of the music, tapping his foot in time. It wasn't anything he was used to, but he liked it.

//It had a good sound to it,// Jono replied, looking pleased. //Not quite like what I normally listen to, but it's different in a good way. It's...// He furrowed his eyebrows as he looked for the right word. //It's got a bit of life to it.//

Jono didn't want to know. Jono was positive that he didn't want to know. Really.

//...What happened to th'last band?//

This, of course, was not going to stop him from asking, like a complete idiot.

Squall hung out and just... watched people. Warily. He had a pretty good feeling that almost everyone in the room was dangerous, even if they were simulated, and he didn't have a weapon handy.

James sighed a bit. It was homey...if all the aliens were people, he could easily imagine this was one of the Mockers roosts under the city. As it were, he sidled up to a place where his back was to a wall and he had room to move, if he were attacked.
