Library [10/03]
Jono was in the library. And, fortunately for Jono, the library had decided that it was going to behave itself today while he was in. Because Heaven only knew that he would have had a Hell of a time trying to explain something like tap-dancing periodicals to the visiting normals with only the benefit of some very creative charades, and a Speak'n'Spell.
... Look, if the squirrels were going to shove the blasted thing at him, he was going to make use of it.
The hippopotamus goes, "Hruuugh!"
As ridiculous as it was.

Mod Your Library!
Re: Mod Your Library!
Let him stew on that.
For her part, she was going to sit and read.
... Yes, another faery book. They were addictive.
Re: Mod Your Library!
Of course, it left him with more than a little time on his hands, and, as much as he enjoyed picking up a book and reading from time to time himself, if he was to be leaving the island today, it wouldn't do for him to begin to read something that they didn't publish in Midgar, and that he wouldn't be able to finish in a day. And so he wandered through the library instead, to pass the time.
Which was how he noticed the Turk. And frowned. Hadn't Genesis said that the one on his case was a male?
"Exactly how many of you are there, on this island?"
For a SOLDIER approaching a Turk, the tone was downright friendly, really.
Re: Mod Your Library!
No?
Rosalind was very very glad for the fact that, of her and her sister, she was the composed one. The cool and collected one. The one who was going to just go a bit pale even as one eyebrow shot up.
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean," she replied. Aloof. Professional. "Surely the presence of Turks is nothing new to you."
... Wishing her book wasn't hideously purple and sparkly.
Re: Mod Your Library!
"Not in Midgar, perhaps," Angeal allowed, in a voice that carried a weight behind it that would make the Buster Sword seem light. "But on an island where a SOLDIER operative has been planted for reconnaissance purposes, I wouldn't think that the company would see fit to throw a couple of Turks into the mix as well."
Yes, Lazard was definitely going to be hearing about this.

With an amused look at the horrible library clerk, Genesis promptly, and cheerfully, lost himself in wandering the stacks and pursuing anything that looked interesting.
He'd go find Angeal. Eventually.
Talk to Jono!
Re: Talk to Jono!
"Man, this thing is creepy."
Re: Talk to Jono!
That would sure show them. Oh yes.
Re: Talk to Jono!
But the urge to mock him for his toy was far too strong to resist.
"Feeling your inner child today?" she mocked, an eyebrow going up that was not, exactly, filled with the same tolerant amusement that her eyebrows normally held around him.
Re: Talk to Jono!
"The hen goes--"
... Wrong buttons. Ah well, he'd made the attempt.
//I'll have you know, I'm a mute burn victim, and this is my voice, today. Being as ignorant in th'ways of American sign language as I am, and all. And even if I did know it, most people here wouldn't.//

It wasn't hard to figure out who Jono was, though; even without Henry's description, it would have been hard to ignore him, she thought. "Hello."
Re: Talk to Jono!
And so he gave the woman a nod, as open and friendly as Jono ever really managed, and raised a hand to wave hello before tilting his head curiously-- Could he help her at all?
Weekends like this tended to put him a bit on the spot.

For the moment, though, he was more than available to anyone else's guests.
