Glee Club, Music Room, Thursday Afternoon [ 09/30 ].

As if her excitement over the first meeting of the Glee Club wasn't enough, there had to have been unicorns. Ariel barely had time to set up, what with the back-and-forth that kept happening between here giggles. She had such vivid hair, but the unicorn's was so soft! She had a lovely singing voice, but the unicorn had such dazzling eyes. So it was a good thing there wasn't much to set up. And then people started showing up.

"Hello, everyone!" Ariel greeted them brightly. "Welcome to our first Glee Club meeting! Now, I know I got a chance to talk to some of you at the Fair, but those of you who I didn't, you'll know that Glee Club is basically a club for getting together, singing songs, and having a good time. I'd like to perform on occasion, too, especially a big show at the end of the year, but that's not important right now. We can get into all that later. Right now, you should all have prepared a song that you feel works as a good way to introduce yourself! Much better than boring old 'Hi, my name is...' introductions."

"NEIGH!" said the unicorn. "You are so clever and thoughtful."

Which sent Ariel giggling a little and nodding to the unicorn. "Thank you. And you are very wise and perceptive! Anyway, if you didn't prepare a song, that's okay, too! Maybe you'll think of one on the fly, or, if not, you don't have to perform. This is a club about fun, and if you're just not feeling it, then that wouldn't be any fun, but hopefully you can have fun singing along with others."

"Any questions? If not, let's go ahead and get started! And, next week, since this week is parent's weekend, keep an ear open for song to sing that might express how that was for you! And let's not forget to give a big thanks to Mister Deadpool and Master Skywalker for being our advisors. They're really awesome for doing thing!"

"NEIGH!" the unicorn turned happily toward them. "You are so tolerating!"

"Let's get this show on the road!"

There's sodas and water, but Ariel has actually passed up her usual junkfood tenancies for things that seemed better suited for singing, like fruits.

And, okay, cookies. You had to have cookies. Either way, she figured everyone might like to munch while settling in before performing, and the unicorns were sure to compliment your palette.

If Medusalith looked nervous, it had nothing to do with being expected to sing, even though she totally didn't have a song prepared because she didn't know anything about human music. It was because she still didn't know whether these people expected Blackagar to sing and kill them all or not.

The unicorn reassuring her that she was beautiful and had gorgeous hair wasn't really helping, because it had been doing that all day and she was starting to worry it might slip in 'you're doing a great job of pretending to be human!' or something.

Jono did not feel like mingling today. And Jono did not feel like chatting today. Jono was dreading the influx of guests to the island tomorrow, skulking about on the far end of the music room, clinging to his guitar, and resisting the urge to kick every happy friendly thing that approached him in the face.

Yes. Still resisting.

Her self control might not have been as good as Jono's, but it was still fairly impressive.

Ariel chuckled a little at his assessment, reaching over to pet the unicorn's soft, velvety muzzle. "Much better than the onions at least, although, knowing you, you probably liked the onions better, right?"

Jono had temper issues. Particularly when root vegetables started chanting cruel things at his roommate.

One of the unicorns trotted up to nose curiously at his guitar. Jono, in turn, just clutched it even closer and gave the creature a dirty look.

"Oh, that had to smell lovely," Ariel commented, but she wasn't too terribly surprised. She did watch him as the unicorn approached, though, and felt it necessary to comment, "No setting the unicorns on fire, though."

As if she was one to talk.

Alexander still wasn't quite certain if joining this club was a good idea, but he had missed all that singing like a pirate, so it seemed a fairly nice alternative.

"Yellow is a wonderful color on you," a unicorn offered as he sipped his soda.

"Er, thank you."

Quinn sipped water and projected absolute calm. Whether she actually felt calm or not, she believed, was beside the point; the point was that she was not going to let anyone there see that she was nervous.

Not that she was nervous. Of course.

"You're going to do a great job!," the unicorn told her. "You might not have the best range ever, but you sing with so much feeling! And you can always dance."

That didn't help.

Ellie was still feeling a bit gloomy about the upcoming weekend, so mingling was not something she was especially in the mood for.

"You have such a pretty smile!" a unicorn said, interrupting her thoughts.

Of course, that compliment was enough to get her to actually smile.

Blackagar was partaking in the cookies and water while the unicorn following him around continued to ramble.

"You have so much self control!" it neighed, prancing around. "And are so much nicer than Dan Humphrey!"

That would be why he picked the water! No distressing chance of burping from that.

And her's seemed to note how lovely her hair really was as well. That was always kind of them.

But... where did those rainbows come from?

That was very wise of him.

She decided, for about the ninth time (she kept hoping it would grow on her, since everyone else seemed to like it) that she didn't like 'soda,' and set it down. "I'm trying not to think about the rainbows," she admitted. "They're a little much."

If she knew what that was, she would definitely agree. And she hadn't planned on fun, since she'd come along to make sure no one tried to make Blackagar sing, but, "...yes, I suppose it is," she had to admit.

Puck really wasn't a unicorn kind of guy. Like, at all. But as he was hanging around the fringes of the crowd with his guitar, cramming cookies into his mouth, he was startled by a whinny.

"You have such nice muscles!" the unicorn told him.

"Thanks," he said after a moment. "I know."

"And you're so confident!"

"Oh! Rinoa!" Ariel waved before bouncing over to her BFF. "I didn't get a chance to ask you at rehearsal yesterday, and here's more appropriate anyway, but Jono said that you said something about a concert or something in November?"

"Ariel!" Perfect! Just the girl she was looking for! Rinoa reached over to give her BFF a hug. "Oh, that! Jono's got a band going, we're putting on a concert! Does that make me the manager, if I set that up?"

That was about the only way this could count as 'we', since Rinoa was not exactly in the band. At all.

"I think so!" Ariel said with a nod. "That's what a manager does, right? nd, well, I was going to see if maybe you think Glee Club could also perform. We could open for Jono's band, or something! What do you think? Too much?"

Yes. Jono loved the idea already. No point to asking him directly, then.
