Library [09/26]

There was music in the library today. It wasn't the same, loud, pervasive music that Jonothon normally opted to, however. Today it was almost like a whisper of music. Like a hundred little voices all joining together in song.

... Or, more accurately, the rustling of the pages of every book on the subject of music in the entire library, all rising up in glorious, but quiet, harmony.

They'd just finished Sound of Silence, and were moving on with Scarborough Fair when Jono came in, levelled that aisle with a look, and then shook his head and set to work shelving things. Occasionally, things that were singing at him.

Ah, Fandom.

[Open! And listening to Simon and Garfunkel.]

This post has been brought to you by cranberry tea with honey in, the sinus headache that would never die, and the fact that my dad randomly decided that he wanted to listen to Simon and Garfunkel this morning, and so I've spent the last hour trying to get YouTube to work on my PS3 without throwing my controller at it, yay!

My music collection is so weird. I think having a cover of Sisters of Mercy doing ABBA probably about sums it up. ;)

Weird music collections are the best kind! The prize on my shelf right now is from a band called Furnaceface. :D They're kind of like a Canadian version of Weezer. And I laughed like an idiot when I found it on a shelf in a second-hand music store, yes. (Especially since they call me 'Pearl Jam Girl' there because I first went in doing some important character research for Jono.)

I think you do, if it's no trouble! Oooh, Tris got me their most recent CD as a belated birthday gift, so I have all of the shiny that's on there already. :D It pleases me. Muchly.

Mmmm, Simon and Garfunkel. I feel it may explain a lot about me when I say that my sixth grade year, I pretty much listened to three Simon and Garfunkel albums repeatedly, all year and that was all.
