Done with the librarian, Angelus came over to Cally's table.

"You rang?"

Hey. ::sets down her book:: I was just wanting to, well... I kinda want to get to know the guy who my best friend keeps talking about, really.

"Okay," Angelus took a seat opposite from her. "I like long walks on the beach, ballet, art, and fine wine. Turn offs include bad fashion and attempts to force me to get a tan."

Yeah, I guess tans aren't really your thing. ::chews on her lower lip a bit more:: I just wanted to check up on you, I guess. A lot of people want to just slander you cause of what you are, and I wanted to know the real deal.

Frak, I'd almost say most people are just being jealous, that's all. And I wanted you to know that I'm not gonna hold anything that you are against you. ::nods::

*scratches her forehead* Thanks. So, what did you do before coming to school here? Like, I mean, where you are from and stuff, 'cause I know people around here seem to be from all over the 'verse...

"Before here I was in another dimension which is a lot like this one if you take the craziness of Fandom High and apply it over the entire planet," Angelus slumped down comfortably in his chair. "Specifically a 'burg called Sunnydale, California, which was right on top of a Hellmouth."

Wow, so I guess all this zombie, gremlin, and mime business didn't come of a surprise, huh?

::scratches her nose:: I don't know whether you're lucky to be used to it, or unlucky to come from a place like that...

"Mimes are scary no matter what dimension you're in," Angelus said. "Zombies and gremlins are old hat. I don't mind, though. I did decide to live on top of a Hellmouth in the first place. It had its advantages, especially for someone like me."

I see what you mean, cause, like, you wouldn't be sought after and persecuted, cause other weirdness would be keepin' people busy? Good thinking.

And especially good thinking with the moving here, since this is probably the highest concentration of weird ever. *laughs, and scratches the back of her head*

"How about same in reverse?" Angelus invited. "Where are you from and why are you here? Though - " he gave her a grin " - if you say at the library to read books I will put a pouty face on."

Well, as much as I'd like to see your pouty face, I'll play fair. *grin*

I'm from Caprica, which is one of the twelve colonies. There's a couple other colonists around, so I'm sure you've met at least one other at some point. I'm from a city called Oasis, which is just outside of the capitol, Caprica City, but that's kinda just boring details, anyways.

As for coming here, well, I got an anonymous scholarship, actually. And since my folks had been having money issues, and it involved coming to a planet that I thought was a myth, I couldn't really turn it down.

"Ah, see," Angelus pointed at her. "Cultural differences. You say 'colony' and I think New World. Though I guess as far as planets are concerned that's not actually inaccurate."

See, this is why we should all sit down and talk these things out like cool people, rather than being all "Oh no, that person talks funny or has gay weird hair or something, and we should shun them forever."

Cause we all just need to explain things out, and everyone can find out they're more similar than they think.

*bites her lower lip, and then leans over to whisper*

*sits back in her chair, half-blushing, half-smirking*
