Dean was leaning against the desk at the front of the room as he watched all the students file in.

"Hey guys," he said once everyone was seated. "Welcome to All You've Ever Wanted to Know About Dating, Hooking Up and Sex But Were Afraid to Ask. I'm Dean Winchester, the guy teaching it. Call me Dean; if you start calling me Mr. Winchester, I'm going to look to see if my Dad's back from his hunt and standing behind me.

"This workshop is about what it's titled -- I believe in truth in advertising," Dean said with a grin. "We're going to discuss, sex, and dating and hooking up, and how sometimes those things can be different on Fandom." He gestured at the board where he'd written out his planned syllabus. "That's pretty much how I'm planning on covering the subject matter, but I'm flexible. If something happens that is related to what we're talking about, we can discuss it in class here. Also, if you ever have any questions, ask. That's what I'm here for. Or if not me, you can ask one of the TA's," he added gesturing at Sammy and Chuck, "though they'll probably give you diametrically opposed answers. As for me, well, I'll try and always tell you exactly how I see things."

He got up and began a sort of slow pace in front of the class. "My first term as a student here, I took sex ed. The teacher was a bonifide professional -- ran the brothel in town and everything. I got a lot out of that class, even if I did end up being nicknamed Muskrat for a while.

"Now, I make no bones about not being a professional in this area," he continued. "But I will claim to be at least a talented amateur. More than that, I went to school here for three years which means if anyone knows what kind of stuff Fandom can throw at you, it would be me. And yeah, it's always a buttload of weird, but that doesn't mean it's always bad. I've had some awesome encounters that I'd never would have been able to have anywhere else. Really, if you keep an open mind, you can leave here with experiences that are truly once in a lifetime opportunities. And we're going to discuss making the most of them once we get the basics out of the way."

Dean stopped pacing and went back to leaning on his desk. "So that's the overview, now on to the introductions. We're going to go around the room, and everyone is going to give their name, how long they've been on Fandom, what sort of experience they have with the class subject, and what you hope to get out of class."

He looked around with a shit eating grin. "So who wants to start?"

Scully was glaring. "Dana Scully. I've been here a week. None of your business. I was signed up by friends who are going to suffer."

It was really sad that she had the most experience here so far, and her last date had ended with the guy getting arrested and both of them treated for ergot poisoning.

Oh, Dean liked this one. Fiesty women were always hot. Even when he shouldn't be thinking that kind of thing because he was a teacher now.

"Hopefully, you'll find the class interesting regardless. But I can give suggestions for some awesome practical jokes, if you want," he offered her with a smile.

Damn you, and your tall hotness, Dean Winchester.

"...like what?" Scully asked carefully. Trying to look disinterested and maintain the hostility. Mostly managing it. Mostly.

"Well, my brother and I once put crazy glue in all of my best friend's pants," Dean offered.

"I do not want to get anywhere near their pants," Scully said reflexively, then paused. "On the other hand, a judicious application of super-glue to parts of their computers...." Starting with their monitoring cameras. Hmm. "That has possibilities."

"Superglue is a great staple in any prank war," Dean said, grinning.

Scully found herself very unwillingly grinning back. "Uh. Thanks. I'll let you know how the revenge goes." She made a face, adding, "It'll probably be better than this class, it sounds like. If the Island dating is as weird as ... all that."

Considering that the only guys in the room she would have wanted to date and not break any laws were the instructor and the tall TA guy? Probably going to be a moot point anyway.

"It has its moments," Dean said, smiling slightly. "How old are you anyway? If you don't mind me asking."

Thirty-five. Damnit. Actually, her physical age had been a matter of debate among those who knew the situation for a few weeks, until her mother weighed in with the expert opinion that Dana matched what she'd looked like at... "Fifteen." She grimaced. "Which, well. Sucks."

"I was fifteen when I first came here," Dean said. "Should've been 18, but there was this portal and... long story. But I thought everything sucked when I first got here too. Turned out, I was wrong. Best thing that ever happened to me was coming here. Give it a chance, Dana. You might find out it's not as bad as you thought, I'm just saying."

Scully elected not to go with her instincts, which would've had her smiling way too widely at Dean and possibly fiddling with her hair. She settled for a smaller smile and said, "I'll keep that in mind. And... portal?" Ooo. Shiny concepts. Even better than very cute instructors.

"Yeah. There was this portal, sorta like a pocket dimension. It opened every three years and if you got caught in it when it closed you didn't get out until three years later. My Dad was investigating it and I was an idiot and got trapped in it. So what felt like one night for me was three years for everybody else." Dean shrugged. "I lived the weird long before we came here."

Scully's face said Ooooo even as her voice said, "Sometimes the weird follows you around like a puppy. Even when you don't want it to."

"That might be why I'm more of a cat person," Dean quipped.

Winchester and the mention of cats coalesced into: "You're Castiel's friend. The one whose cat is a new father to all those kittens."

"Yeah," Dean said. "Guess I didn't do a good job making sure Hunter practices safe sex. But the kittens are cute so can't complain too much."

Scully snickered, then managed to mostly compose herself. "And it's not as if they don't have parental support in Castiel. Who seems very invested." She grinned. "If I do learn something new from this class, I'll be satisfied with that."
