Thanksgiving Meal, Cafeteria, Thursday
The cafeteria's dining room looked much less institutional today than one might expect. White linens had been draped on the tables, and flowers and autumn leaves were arranged in centerpieces on the tables. It was probably best not to ask where they'd found enough silver and china -- yet, somehow, there it was.
The scene in the kitchen it was another story, and the controlled chaos there was -- while mostly manageable -- definitely loud, hot, and confusing.
In other words, it was a proper Thanksgiving.

Re: The Kitchen...
Clearly, it was a miracle nothing was on fire yet.
Re: The Kitchen...
And hey, with all the people around, it wasn't that hard to blend in, take out his phone and snap a picture. If he got caught, oh well, but he'd gotten what he came for so now was the time to grin triumphantly and head back towards the dining room.
Re: The Kitchen...
<<I ought to put something in your green beans!>> she fumed. <<You're incorrigible, Karev.>>
Re: The Kitchen...
<<You knew I was going to try,>> Alex said, making no apologies. <<That was a good picture there. You look all focused and domestic. Very attractive.>>
Re: The Kitchen...
<<If you find focused women attractive, you should see me with the business section of the Times,>> she teased, going back to her work. <<Good luck getting my attention when I have the markets index page.>>

Re: The Kitchen...
<<So that means no treat for you either, right?>> Alex grinned slyly, hoping she remembered that part of their conversation. <<Too bad for you. Would've been fun.>>
Re: The Kitchen...
<<I can find my own treats,>> Emma pointed out. <<I'm the one in the kitchen, surrounded by baked goods. But you haven't given me a reason to give you anything.>>
<<Inspire me, and I'll consider it.>>
Re: The Kitchen...
<<Pretty sure that if you come find me, I could help you relax,>> he remarked, grinning. <<Doesn't have to be anything that dirty. You take a break and I'll give you...>>
And now he just needed something good and something he was good at. <<...a massage.>>

"But it's not the digs, or my classmates that I'm taking my break with." She shot him a bright grin. "I'm here for the good company."

Besides, Emma was of the private opinion that a girl would have to be nuts not to want Alex's hands on her.
