Driver's Ed [Thursday, Week 7, Period 5]

"This summer seems to have gone by so quickly," Ziva remarked as everyone sat down. The Danger Shop looked like a classroom for the moment, but the way she was grinning might have given everyone a clue that it wouldn't stay like that for long. "But you have all been working very hard, and I believe that you are ready for your final test."

"It might not be a surprise to learn that I enjoy action movies, and that I also love a good car chase," she said. "This one from the Bourne Supremacy in case the link doesn't work in particular is my favorite and it would do you well to pay attention." Once she'd finished the clip, she eagerly hit the Danger Shop controls, and the classroom turned into a Russian marketplace.

"Welcome to Moscow," she said. "Your final test is going to use many of the skills you learned here, to get through a modified version of that car chase. Of course, no one will be shooting at you, and if you crash, you will simply end up back here. Your goal is to get from outside of this market to the end of the tunnel with yourself and your car still intact." She showed them the course they'd be driving on a map, to try to make it clear where they should go. Getting lost was so not the point today. "You may drive on your own, or with a partner, it is entirely up to you." She gave them an excited little clap before waving them off. "Go on, let us see how well you do."

[OCD is up!]

Those poor pedestrians.

Dinah so wished she had a Batmobile to just fly over all this.

Lacking that, she muscled her car into any tiny gap she could find and cut off everyone else with impunity.

"God I wish this was a motorcycle." Leda sighed, but began aggresively weaving around. She may have scratched a few paint jobs.

This was a particularly good time to dodge and weave and use all the gaps between cars possible.

Everyone else was kindly following the rules, staying in their own lanes, leaving space to their left and right. How nice for her. That gave her plenty of room to chart her own path.

Well, perhaps not plenty, but she hadn't been using that rear-view mirror anyway. She wouldn't miss it.
