"Capes!" Edna snapped as she stalked into the Danger Shop. "There will be no capes in this class. Capes get snagged on missiles and sucked into vortexes and pulled into jet engines! Almost as bad as capes are shoddy materials such as polyester blends and leggings as pants or jeans under dresses! If your legs are that hideous, wear a pantsuit. It is not that difficult. Peh. Today you will present your designs to the class--you have ten minutes to erase any capes--and after we have decided what needs to be changed, you will beginning making your costumes! Next week, we will try them on and decide what needs to be changed."

Edna pulled up a chair and pointed to a student at random. "You. Begin."

A few vague sketches showing little knack for art, in red and yellow, looking like something armored to the teeth.

Possibly exaggeratedly so.

Arthur spent the entire lecture eying them with a difficult look on his face.

Fiona looked down at her sketch and bit at her lip, somewhat nervous. She'd tried to do what her research said should work but it was still a bit more utilitarian than a lot of what she'd found.

But no capes, at least.

Claudia's sketch was bright, formfitting, and red (http://www.milanoo.com/upload/products/2009/200901/20090114023717_2_F420.jpg). Very, very red. She'd added a stylized butterfly to the front of it and was thinking of adding more glitter.

Jo's outfit bore a strong resemblance to something that wouldn't look too out of place in a bar or roadhouse.

She'd claim it was an anti-hero/stealth outfit if she had to.

Jenny's drawing didn't have a link depicted a silver minidress with a high neckline and jagged gold 'lightning bolts' which would also serve to disguise Jenny's pitiful sewing skillz.

What Arthur finally ponied up in very, very sketchy sketches really only communicated two things:

1) That he was fundamentally incapable of colour-coordinating;
2) That yes, he was Arthur fucking Pendragon and he could put chainmail on anything.

Surprisingly, she was leaning more towards the red suit with the black boots which didn't look a bit like her real Blossom outfit! She hoped it wasn't too much Racerranger...

There are scissors and mannequins and Very Scary Sewing Machines. Edna will be wandering around to give you measurements from last week and to answer any questions you might have.

The fabric is not the good stuff yet, so if you make a mistake, don't sweat it.
