Fashion! Etc., Etc. [Thursday, May 29, 1st period]

"Capes!" Edna snapped as she stalked into the Danger Shop. "There will be no capes in this class. Capes get snagged on missiles and sucked into vortexes and pulled into jet engines! Almost as bad as capes are shoddy materials such as polyester blends and leggings as pants or jeans under dresses! If your legs are that hideous, wear a pantsuit. It is not that difficult. Peh. Today you will present your designs to the class--you have ten minutes to erase any capes--and after we have decided what needs to be changed, you will beginning making your costumes! Next week, we will try them on and decide what needs to be changed."

Edna pulled up a chair and pointed to a student at random. "You. Begin."

Edna's mun was dying blinked. "Why do you have a belt with nothing hanging from it?" she finally asked. "The pants are certainly not going anywhere."

"I can't exactly paste my sword to my leg now, can I?" Arthur asked, raising an imperious eyebrow at her.

He was starting to interpret this particular line of classes as a test of his endurance.

"True," Edna admitted. "And hiding it inside your pants might push the 'or are you merely glad to see me' jokes past a normal person's breaking point. I am more used to working with heroes who don't use weapons."

Yes, Arthur was plotting to hide an entire arsenal in his spandex. What of it?

"If you can get me a gun, I'll gladly consider it," Arthur informed her. Other people had time for subtlety. He didn't.

"Peh," Edna replied. "I provide inspiration! Art! A place to create! You find your own weapons. I am not a strange little butler who lives in a dark basement to provide you with cryptic information and fabulous acces--" she cut herself off.

Arthur was not sure exactly what she was rambling about, so he eyed her for a few more moments before saying, somewhat nonsensically, "Just think about it."

Edna had found missiles to launch at costumes before. It was probably better she didn't think about it.
