Zero sits behind the collection's desk, back to the door, with her feet up on a table. She has headphones on, at a volume audible from outside the library, and is working on her laptop. Good luck getting her attention. Anyone entering the library would see that she is on CafePress.

On the table next to her is a large plate of chocolate chip cookies, with a sign: LIBRARY STAFF ONLY (and Hank).

"Just trying to get Pinkie's attention. Besides there wasn't any flame. Just noise and *cough* a little smoke. I'd just like to get these books checked in."

*notices the smoke*

*rips off her headphones, blasting the library with high-decible Dirk Hopeless & the Undertow, and whips around in her seat*

What the squall is goin' on here?

"Like we didn't have enough to clean up after the AV kid and the zombie soup?" asked Janet.

They love makin' our lives more difficult, I've decided.

What do you think of bright orange for the dangerous book stickers?

"I'm partial to the little biohazard symbols," says Janet. "What if we got some of those that said 'dangerous' instead?"

Oooh. *nibbles a cookie* S'a thought. An'...ooh, we could color-code by categories, if we got real excited about it. Like, red could be 'bites', an' blue could be 'will turn you into an animal'...

"Cookies?" Janet takes one and starts eating excitedly. "Color-coded? I love it. We're geniuses."

"I'd like to have my books checked in Miss. Perhaps if you weren't so busy listening to music I wouldn't have to resort to such measures."

*Mac hands over the book and magazines he checked out yesterday and cleans up the soot on the floor using a mixture of baking soda and water.*

*rolls eyes* Leave the books on the desk and we'll check them in, sir.

Also, you could've just shook my shoulder or somethin', there was no need to resort to explosives.

Mac smiles at Zero before he walks out.

"But where's the fun in that?"

"Her name's Zero," says Janet. "Leave the books on the desk. Fine, no flame, but you messed up the library floor." She goes to get a rag and a spray bottle of cleaner left over from the zombie incursion, and holds them out to Mac. "Here you go."

Janet? What just happened here?

"Our new shop teacher," says Janet, gesturing at him. "Thought it'd be fun to set off a harmless little firecracker in here." She smiled tightly. "I'm about to file him with the AV Club kid mentally. You?"

Oh. *peers over desk* Did it hurt anythin'?

We should have a list. Students and faculty that've proved dangerous to the library.

"It was just a little noisemaker folks. Nothing to be alarmed about."

Janet looked down at the floor. "Nah, no permanent harm, and he cleaned it up."

"We don't?" asked Janet. "Let's write one down. Mac and the AV Club kid. Anyone else?"

Snake demon parasites. Parker now that she's quit smokin' an' caffeine, probably.

Janet gives Mac a look. "She was getting her work done. You don't actually need to be there to get books checked in. You could have dropped them off and left."

Mac holds up his hands in a concilatory gesture.

"Hey! Mea Culpa. I was in the wrong here. Just wanted to make sure the books didn't get checked in. Heard that Methos guy has a sword and I've only got a pocket knife."
