Heroing [Tuesday, period 2, class #5]
"HELLO CLASS!" boomed Captain Hammer, as soon as everyone was assembled in the Danger Shop. "I'm sorry you had to bear on without my presence last week. I had a superhero emergency." In that his cave had flooded, because Captain Hammer had not yet realized that basing his Ham-Lair on the beach wasn't the best idea. "Today... we are learning about the wonders of transportation!"
He passed around a few pictures of his various Ham-vehicles, mostly to show off. They were awesome, after all. "Every hero needs a way to get around. You can't run everywhere. What if you were busy entertaining until the last second, and needed to get somewhere extra-fast? These things," he said sagely, "do happen. So, today, we're going to play pretend!"
Hammer pressed a few buttons, and a small assortment of vehicles -- all state of the art -- appeared, each reasonably far apart from the other, with a small portion of vehicle-appropriate landscape before it. "I put you in pairs, and you're going to go play with one of these, and then report back to the class what you thought. I know both villains and heroes who all use these things! Keep that in mind! Tell us why it worked, and why it didn't. Now, shoo."
[please wait for EXTENSIVE OCD up. ETA: and yes I am aware I marked all the OCD as February 5th. Hush.]

She made a face as she held onto one of the dock pylons and stubbed at the raft with her foot. "Not that I think any bad guy worth chasing would try it."
[OOC: am leaving work now, will be offline for a bit until I get home, sorry :(]

Momoko looked around. "Do we have a pole or oars or something or does one of us have to swim and pull with the rope?" She wasn't going to be the one in the water, if so.
Re: Pair up [Momoko and Romeo]: Raft.
He did not.

He prodded at the water, and the raft moved a little more.
Re: Pair up [Momoko and Romeo]: Raft.
She sighed and pushed her oar through the water again, shaking her head. "You know? As nice and relaxing as this would be for a date, just floating and watching the clouds and the river bank passing by, I don't like it at all for a quick get-away. Or a chase and capture. I mean, even if we do catch up to anyone, how do we stay caught up with them and grab them? And then get them back to land?"
Re: Pair up [Momoko and Romeo]: Raft.
"And boys should be chivalrous around you."
