Food Appreciation [Class Four, Period #3]

Marshall was just kind of staring at everybody when class started. He didn't look angry or anything. He was just staring, maybe looking a bit worried.

A little more staring.

A little more...

"I'M AFRAID TO TALK TO EVERYBODY TODAY," he said suddenly. "So far today I told a radio squirrel that if I were another squirrel I'd totally tap that and I told Ted that I didn't really mind his red cowboy boots!"

Ignore the fact that nobody here knew who Ted was.

"What if I start doing lecture and I suddenly start talking about how I think Kaylee's little accent is about the cutest thing I've ever heard and how that sometimes I want to ruffle Sam's hair because it looks fun?" Marshall's eyes widened. "Oh god, I'm doing it already!"

He pointed at the buffet table which had all sorts of moddable sandwiches and subs on them.

"Sandwiches! They're delicious and easy to make! Eat them!" Marshall said. "And for the love of god, someone save me from myself!"

Priestly had only just gotten up before the class, and hadn't yet realized that today was weird.

"I don't know what he's talking about," he said. "What the hell is he talking about? And who doesn't wanna ruffle Sam's hair? If you can reach. . . ."

"Yeah, sure," Peyton said, looking a little horrified that she wasn't able to stop what was coming out of her mouth. "The hair thing and having sex with you and Dean together and oh God, stop me now!"

"I don't want to have sex with Dean," Priestly pointed out helpfully. "And I'd totally have sex with you except that I really do think that two people should know each other a lot better before they do that and I'm really pretty sure you're actually in love with Dean, anyway."

"I'm glad, 'cause while we're not exclusive, I'm pretty sure it's going to hurt a whole hell of a lot when I hear he's slept with someone else," Peyton said. "And, well, talk to me when we know each other better, 'cause yeah, oh God, I'm going to say it - I am in love with him, but it's stupid of me 'cause he's not and won't be and this whole thing is just going to end badly - and can I just, you know, kill myself right now? Please?"

"Most people tell me I'm too tall," Sam said. "And I already have to duck sometimes. Like, if a place is really old and the doors are low? But I like being taller than Dean because it makes me feel better."

Oh, his mouth could stop that any time now.
