Flight Club [Flight Shed]

The power was out when Gavin woke up. The power continued to be out when Gavin (possibly stupidly) started tromping over to the flight shed for the first meeting of the club for the new semester. The power remained out and thus, there was no working flight sim.

Well, bummer.

The snow continued to fall and Gavin decided just to make this a quick meeting so no one would freeze and possibly sue him.

"Uh, hey guys," he said, blowing warm air through his hands. "So, we have no power. We have no flight sim. This is only the first meeting so hopefully this gets fixed by next time. Um, we can do quick intros and then we can all go run back inside and get warm. Or, as warm as we can since there's no power."

Kriffing power.

"So, I'm Gavin. I'm a senior. I fly X-Wings back home. And I'm really kriffing cold."

He was a desert boy, he was allowed to be cold.

"Okay, anyone can go next. Name, class, what you fly if you fly and if you're cold or not."

Jaina had only showed up for sim time, so that was disappointing. Especially since she had potential problems with not exactly knowing how to react to people.

"Maybe," he agreed, trying to sneak his frozen hand to the back of her neck. "But that doesn't mean I wouldn't do it."

She squeaked in response to his hand on her neck and said, "I'll allow it if you don't do that again."

"I would've believed you," she said, stepping closer to wrap her arms around him.

Draping his arms around her, he felt warmer already. "Yes, but you wouldn't have known just how cold I'd gotten."

Sunday had been a rough day. "A lot of people probably got that," she admitted. "I got one from you, something about my mom being evil."

She almost smiled. "I'm just glad I didn't say anything too embarrassing to anyone. Just stuck to yelling."

Anemone had been really looking forward to some flight time, and did her best not to make her sulk too terribly obvious. This whole planet was insane.

Robin was so bundled up that he looked slightly spherical. Thank god he didn't weigh much or he'd be lost completely in the snow. He too was sulking, though in the Parka, snow pants and boots it might be hard to tell.

He sighed though.

. . . well. It wasn't as if Tahiri had signed up because she loved flying or anything, so she wasn't terribly disappointed.

She was, however, really kriffing cold.

The less-than-thrilled look she was sporting was due more to the need to wear shoes than anything else.

Tahiri was about to say something about whether it was this particular shade of blue that gave it away, but that was when she happened to turn and catch a glimpse of Master Skywalker, then looked at Ben and turned bright, bright red despite the cold.

"Ah, not fair!" Momoko had honestly not thought of the power outage striking the simulator; she'd been looking forward to seeing what they were going to fly today.
