Movie Appreciation: Week 2, Period 3 (Fri. 1/16)

Like the previous week, students met up in a nice Danger Shop-created movie theater, complete with large professor. Of course, this week, his clothing was a little odder than usual. It seemed his shirt had disappeared between classes and he was choosing to ignore this fact, having found a very small leather vest in his office that he thought worked okay with the jeans his wardrobe had diminished to.

As soon as it seemed the majority of students had found seats, the theater darkened and the trailer for Fatal Rock played on the screen, followed by a few key clips featuring explosions and lots of foul language.

When the clips ended, the lights came back and there was Ronon grinning at the podium. "Looks like a pretty cool movie, huh? Today I want you guys to talk about action movies like Fatal Rock, Mission Impossible 3, and Terminator 2. Ask somebody in class or out of class what makes 'em interested in action movies and what would make 'em wanna watch more based on the clips, trailer, or title. If you've got questions, I'm around and Tony's your TA." As he stepped to the side of the stage, half the lights dimmed and the other trailers played for the sake of those who'd never seen movies.

[ooc: links are to YouTube trailers and scenes from Die Hard. Consider this your warning for foul language and violence in the links!]

Angela was watching the clips, in between watching the hot and slightly less clothed than usual teacher.

Her little half-length leggings and a large jumper weren't the most covering outfit in the world either. But she was possibly doing better than some.

John looked like an idiot in dress shirt and plaid pajama pants, but at least he wasn't freezing. The Fatal Rock clips got him slightly more excited for getting ready to leave after classes.

Peyton was not particularly thrilled with her clothing options today. She had a sexy black mostly open top and an incredibly short black skirt as her only options. Her underwear was gone long ago.

Why yes, she was sitting very carefully.

The clips were exciting enough to almost distract Romeo from his clothing situation, which involved a tuxedo shirt that was too short in the sleeves and those same khakis with the mustard splotch from yesterday,

Gwynn wondered if they could make the washing machines walk on glass and give them their clothing back.

She was a little uncomfortable in her strapless top and short skirt.

Emmett was chilling in his boxers, looking like the cold wasn't bothering him at all.

Mostly because it wasn't.

He practically glowed from all the paleness. Boy needed a tan, badly.

Dinah was at least warm, in a really over-sized NGPD sweat-shirt and star-spangled flannel pajama bottoms. Just dying inside, thanks.

Also, really distracted by Mr. Dex and many cute guys in a lot less than usual.

Peter watched and thought about how walking across broken glass probably wouldn't be a problem for him due to his healing.

Thinking about options that involved not walking across broken glass did not occur to him.

Penelope enjoyed the clips and found that action movies were something she might really enjoy.

Not to mention small glances over at her professor. Because wow.

But like everyone else it would seem, she was dressed odd herself. No tights, no dress, just her coat (that was buttoned from neck to calve) and Mary Janes. This place was crazy.

Firekeeper watched the clips intently, having never seen the movies before.

As usual, she was dressed in a simple tunic and trousers. The stream, after all, had not refused to wash her clothes.

Claudia has left her room wearing a dress, but somewhere between the dorms and the classroom, she was down (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v719/gofugyourself/GFY112005/74184602.jpg) to a white bikini, a black cloak (in honor of her roommate's of course), and slouchy red, fuzzy boots made from imitation Muppets. Her long silver earrings were still on, and her hair was down (because it was cold outside). On anyone else, this would look insane. On Claudia, it looked great.

Sokka -- dressed in blue sweatpants and a blue sealskin parka that was open, showing his bare chest -- practically squealed with glee. These movies were AWESOME!

Sam was down to a pair of boxers and a white t-shirt.

Mostly, he was busy being thankful for the white t-shirt.

Robin, as usual, was naked. Though he felt sympathy for everyone affected by the laundry strike, he was not one of them.

He loved the action sequences, with the stunts and jumping and swinging and stuff.

Brooke looked fine. Girl had a lot of clothes.

You could say this was probably the only time Brooke Davis would be the modest one.

While Angela wouldn't have called herself a big action movie fan, she'd seen enough to know she did enjoy them, as she enjoyed most movies, so long as the 'ick' factor was kept fairly low.

She was checking out what people were wearing today while she looked for a partner to discuss with.

Firekeeper looked around for someone who'd be willing to discuss these movies with someone who'd never seen them before.

SHUT UP! Negative 1 here. Actually, it was -12 last night without the wind chill and -34 WITH it.
