Phys Ed: Week 2, Period 1 (Fri. 1/16)

Once again, students were back in a traditional gymnasium. This week, instead of mats, a large quarter-mile circle was taped off into three lanes around the perimeter of the room. In the center of those circles stood a Satedan with a clipboard. He'd managed to locate a whistle since last semester and was the picture of a high school coach. If coaches had dreads and wore dress shirts with jeans. Nope, no uniform for Ronon.

Ronon started talking as soon as he felt like it. "Endurance is about sustaining energy over time. Today we're testing your endurance while running. Dress out, pair up, and see how far you can go. Remember to stay with your partner: if they can't go on, neither can you. We don't leave people behind." Ronon glanced at his clipboard before looking around for one face in particular. "Anyone need anything, Worf's got the TA job this go-round."

Annja was warmed up and when she saw Gavin, she went over to him. "Partners?"

She was pretty sure neither one of them would leave the other behind.

"You're not gonna leave me in the dust, are you?" Gavin asked, gesturing for them to start. "My commander only needs another thing to lecture me on."

She shook her head. "I won't leave you if you don't leave me," she promised. "I like running."

She spent a lot of time running from people who were trying to kill her so she was good at it.

Molly stretched while she waited for a partner, hoping she wouldn't slow him or her down too badly.

Priestly knew how to warm up from his time spent playing football, so he was doing just that while he looked around for someone to partner up with.

"Hey, Eddie." Priestly nodded, straightening from a stretch. "Sure thing." He remembered the level of energy this guy had and added "I'll try not to slow you down too much."

Éowyn was thankful that the assignment sounded simple, and she was excited about the opportunity to see how well she could exert herself, uniform or not.

Running was good. K-Mart could do running. Lord knew she'd done enough of it back home.

She jogged in a lazy circle as she waited for a partner.

Hey. Reno could run. Reno liked to run. Hell, Reno would even take it easy and pace himself so whoever he was running with could keep up.
