Flight Club [Flight Shed, 2pm]

Gavin hadn't ever really run a club before so he figured the first one, he could just kind of wing it and hope someone told if he was doing it wrong. If John told him he was doing it wrong, John was getting smacked in the head.

Maybe.

Anyway, it was the first meeting of the Flight Club and it was taking place at the flight shed. Gavin had some snacks and drinks set up on a small table he'd brought. Snacks always made it better, right?

"Hey guys," he said when everyone finally arrived. "Welcome to the first meeting of this semester's flight club. I'm, uh, Gavin and some of you probably know that. For those that don't, I'm a senior and I've been flying X-Wings for about two years now. Since this is the first meeting, I figure we'll introduce ourselves, tell what, if any, flight experience we have and in what way we fly and then we can just go from there. Our adviser's Professor Skywalker and he's a much better flier than I am."

With that, he nodded and waited for everyone else to introduce themselves.

"I'm Ben Skywalker, I'm fourteen and I've been flying practically since I can remember," he said. "I fly my mom's ship, shuttlecraft, and X-Wings."

And creepy Sith ships, but no one needed to know that.

"I am Worf. I have flown various types of shuttlecrafts and participated in several simulations including the Flight workshop over the summer."

"I'm John, seventeen, and a senior," John smiled, feeling like he should be pausing for pictures. "I like romantic walks on the..oh right, not this club. Uh, I've flown a bunch of stuff in the sim for classes, but I'm from this planet and the best we've got so far that I've flown are little puddlejumper type planes."

"I'm Anemone, and I'm a junior," she said, bouncing slightly at the idea of being back in the flight sim. "I was the pilot of the Nivrash-type TheEND for at least four years, and my specailty is flying various LFO and KLF aircraft. So, basically, giant flying robots." Everyone liked flying robots.

"I'm also fully certified on my homeworld's shuttles, and I've taken both the Flight classes that Murdock and Master Skywalker taught."

Jaina sighed a little when she stood. "Jaina Solo, I'm a junior, and you name it, I've probably flown it." There, easy.

"Wendy Watson, I'm seventeen, and my dad taught me how to fly," Wendy said. "I can fly just about any crate with wings. Well, Earth crate at least."

"I'm Naomi Wildman," Naomi said, "I'm sixteen, most of my flying experience I got in Fandom but I did get to help fly a shuttlecraft when I was younger,"

The things other people flew sounded... less drafty. And more comfortable.

Momoko raised her hand excitedly. "Momoko Akatsutsumi, 16 years old, sophomore! I can, uhm, fly by myself, and back home I can pilot a time-travelling mecha. That's a sort of giant people-shaped robot. Her name is Dy.Na.Mo Z and she can transform and fight and she's really cool. I like flying."

Ben was a fourteen year old boy. Of course he was over by the snacks, very possibly giving the impression he'd never eaten before in his life.

Jaina wasn't entirely sure she remembered how to be social, but she was trying. Mostly she was just trying not to look scary or something.

John was glad to see there'd been no skimping on the off-brand Cheetos. He hated when the cheese was different and would have no issues telling people as much as he munched.
