Gavin hadn't ever really run a club before so he figured the first one, he could just kind of wing it and hope someone told if he was doing it wrong. If John told him he was doing it wrong, John was getting smacked in the head.

Maybe.

Anyway, it was the first meeting of the Flight Club and it was taking place at the flight shed. Gavin had some snacks and drinks set up on a small table he'd brought. Snacks always made it better, right?

"Hey guys," he said when everyone finally arrived. "Welcome to the first meeting of this semester's flight club. I'm, uh, Gavin and some of you probably know that. For those that don't, I'm a senior and I've been flying X-Wings for about two years now. Since this is the first meeting, I figure we'll introduce ourselves, tell what, if any, flight experience we have and in what way we fly and then we can just go from there. Our adviser's Professor Skywalker and he's a much better flier than I am."

With that, he nodded and waited for everyone else to introduce themselves.

Ben laughed. "So do a lot of people. They're not making them fast enough."

"Maybe I can make them catch up when I finally go back home," Gavin sighed. "Mmm, stealth."

"It takes 'em about forty years to get there," Ben said, "so anything to make it happen faster can only be a good thing." He leaned forward. "We're not going to have to fly Y-Wings, are we? I heard it's like trying to steer a falling rock."

"Not if I can help it," Gavin said, shaking his head. "Professor Skywalker might want a variety though so...maybe. We could play sick that day."

"Definitely," Ben said, wrinkling up his nose. "Will we dogfight?"

"...we should," Gavin said brightly. "I'm kinda new to this whole club thing so any ideas and suggestions are welcome."

"Just don't hold it against me when I shoot you out of the sky," Ben teased.

Laughing, Gavin waggled a finger at him and said, "We'll see little Skywalker."

"Not that little," Ben retorted. "Just because you're all out of proportion and stuff..."

Then he clapped his hand over his mouth and looked horrified. Did he just say that to Admiral Darklighter?

"Someone's confident," he said, amused. "You're littler than me but your ego makes up for it. And you can say that, I can't give you detention or anything."

Ben blushed. "Skywalker," he said. "The ego comes naturally."

"I know," he replied. "Just means I get to tease you about it. It's not like I don't have one of my own."

Ben's face now matched his hair. "I knew that," he mumbled.

He hadn't.

"Don't make me ruffle your hair," teased Gavin. "It'll make me feel old."

"You are old," Ben said.

"Your dad's older," Gavin retorted very, very maturely.

Ben didn't stick his tongue out.

Yet.

"Well, yeah. He's my Dad."

"And he's older," he said, nodding. His point was proven. "I'm older than you but I am so not old."

"You so are," Ben countered maturely.

"Do you want to find your room toilet papered?" Gavin asked.

"Do you want to find your eyebrows shaved?" Ben countered.

"I will tell your father if you tried," Gavin threatened.

"I'll tell him you started it," Ben said.

Such a fourteen year old.

"He won't believe that, he knows me!" Well, his Luke did, at least.

"...which Luke are we telling?" Ben checked.
