Phys Ed: Week 5, Period 2 (Fri. 10/03)

Ronon was not pleased. Especially not with his TA. He stood in a Danger Shop-created gymnasium glaring at all the students as they filed in, daring them to say anything about the previous day.

"Yesterday was nothing. Today is dancing for your life," Ronon paused, expecting disbelief at the necessity of this task. "You'd be surprised. Pick a song, pick a partner, and keep it lively."

What? It was physical and educational.

"Don't forget to dress out."

Jamie had "altered" his gym uniform somewhat. It's probably not wise to ask where the legwarmers came from. Or how his shirt hung off his shoulder in a "steel-town-girl-on-a-Saturday-night" kind of way.

He assumed a curled-up/prostrate position on the floor. Much like a tender flower bud waiting to bloom and waited for his ~~oocly arranged~~ partner to join in.

...

She really should keep a closer eye on him. "What are you wearing?"

Jamie tilted his head up from the floor and sighed. Pop culture references were a real pain to pull off in Fandom sometimes.

"This is a dancing outfit from our world... kind of. Just do the song already."

She rubbed her forehead.

"Two favours. You owe me two now."

"One and half."

Never mind what half a favor might be. Obviously Jamie needs to work on his bargaining skills.

That might be what she was thinking. "What's half a favour?"

"Okay," Jamie said in a loud whisper. "Fine! Two favours."

Owed her so damn much.

Taking a deep breath, she looked around. People could hear her sing here.

"Let's get down to business
To defeat the Huns," She sang very very quietly.

Jamie gently moved his arms up into the air. As if greeting the sun.

Or maybe a hun.

He then flopped onto his back and spun himself around on the floor with his legs in the air. Probably to show off his legwarmers.

Well, at least she didn't have to worry about being the most ridiculous one here.

Facepalming, she continued, "Did they send me daughters
When I asked for sons?"

Jamie hopped to his feet and did a little kick as he spun around in a circle before raising his arms to the sky.

And then he pretended to look into his pants as if checking his gender and then covered his mouth as he pretended to giggle.

Temari turned her head, trying to stifle laughter. "Stop that."

"You're the saddest bunch
I ever met
But you can bet
Before we're through...

Jamie then made a frowny face and twisted his fists at the corner of his eyes as if pretending to cry but then began to march in a jumping fashion around the room.

"Mister, I'll make a man
out of you ."

Did he really have to act like such a clown? Ignore the snickering that was getting close to an actual giggle.

Yes. He did have to act like a clown.

Though it's doubtful that a clown would be doing inappropriate hip thrusts at this point in the song.

"Attractive," She replied dryly.

"Tranquil as a forest
But on fire within
Once you find your center
you are sure to win."

Jamie blew Temari a kiss and put his arms out like a tree and negan to spin and spin and spin and...

Then he fell on his butt but he jumped back up did a little kick to show off his legwarmers and did a hip shimmy.

Shimmy. Shimmy. Shimmy.

Clearly Jamie thought winning had to do with hip shimmies.

So sexy, those shimmies. But it did set up the next part of the lyrics rather well for her. "You're a spineless, pale
pathetic lot
And you haven't got a clue
Somehow I'll make a man
out of you ."

Jamie flopped over on the ground and flopped around some more. Much like as if he had no spine.

And then at the appropriate lyric did hip thrusts before he jumped to his feet and began to march around again.

Temari rolled her eyes. "I think the next part is yours to sing."

Jamie began to spin around in his leg warmers as he began to sing...

for cutting gym

Now I really wish that I

And on swim he gracefully leaped into the air next to Temari and attempted to bounce up against her like in that sketch from Saturday Night Live featuring the Roxbury.

And was promptly shoved away. "Idiot. Be a man."

Annnnnnnd Jamie seems to have changed songs.

What is love!?
Oh baby, don't hurt me!
Don't hurt me no more!

And he's back with that Roxbury thing...

And being shoved again. "I don't even know that song."

Jamie stopped and put his hand on his hips.

"You're messing with my artistic vision."
