It was a very annoyed Sam Winchester who opened the library in the morning. His date with Peter had been foiled and he'd gone back to his room feeling like a complete idiot.

And then he'd woken up with breasts. Again.

As much as he wanted to do nothing more than hide in his room, Sam took his job seriously enough to show up and get settled behind the desk. Without Dawn this time around, he had no access to girl clothes, so he'd had to do his best with the smallest clothes he owned. He hoped that if he stayed behind the desk, no one would notice he wasn't wearing shoes. Or a bra.

He could already tell it was going to be an unbearable day.

Sam went back to finishing his book, afraid that he'd get caught looking at something embarrassing if he went back to the computer.

Days like this, Cimorene wished she still had the magic wardrobe. Instead, she had a pair of ill-fitting pants and shirt. So...library for research time it was.

Sam was seriously considering going into hiding at this point, but he had to peek when he heard someone come in. "Hi?" he said cautiously.

"Princess Cimorene of Linderwall." Cimorene said primly. "Are you usually a girl?"

"Not at all. I'm Sam," he said. "Are you looking for something?"

"An explanation for why this is happening." She paused. "Yet again."

"Because the island hates us? Because we've wronged people in a past life? Because even innocent bystanders have to have the wrong body parts sometimes?"

Cimorene stifled a smile. "I was hoping for something a little more scientific, but I suppose that works as well."

"I've stopped looking for scientific answers for most of this stuff," Sam said. "You're welcome to see if you can figure out how to make it never happen again though. I don't want to have to invest in female clothes if this won't be the last time."

"I have some lovely dresses you could borrow if you'd like." Cimorene said with a straight face.

"I'm so not ever wearing a dress, no matter how long this lasts this time around," Sam insisted.

Cimorene grinned wickedly. "Are you sure? I have one that would go very well with your coloring."

"I think you're enjoying this far too much," Sam said.

Peter came in at the usual time and looked around for Sam.

Now there was definite ducking occurring, as Sam tried to get out of sight behind the desk, hoping Peter would just think he was somewhere else.

Peter came over to the counter with the coffee and donuts. He looked around since that's where he could usually find Sam.

"Sam?"

Sam wanted to keep hiding, he really did, but he didn't want Peter to worry, and that's what got him standing up again.

"Hi."

Peter recognized the eyes, and the hangdog expression.

That didn't mean he wasn't staring, though.

"The island hates me. And a bunch of other people too. But mainly me," Sam said.

"You know," Peter said, leaning against the counter, "when I said last night that you owed me I didn't exactly mean - " he made a gesture to encompass the whole of Sam " - props."

"I didn't do this on purpose!" Sam said quickly. "I just woke up like this, I swear." He crossed his arms over his chest, trying to take up less room behind the desk, like that would help him disappear.

"You're still cute," Peter assured him. In case that was a concern.

Sam scowled a little, but looked a little pleased. "Thanks. I'm glad you're okay."

"Did you get Grace home okay at least?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. Dad didn't say anything to me when I dropped her off, so I don't think he suspects anything," Sam said. "I really am sorry about what happened."
