Sex Ed, Wednesday, Period 2, Class #3

Once everyone was seated, Edward addressed the class. "I know that some questions you have may be difficult to ask in person. For that reason, we now have a question box." He gestured at a wooden suggestion box sitting on a side table. "If you have a question, drop it in there and I will address it during the next class. And no, you do not have to sign your name. Also, Chuck, I'd like to talk to you after class."

"Today we are discussing Gender, Identity and Sexuality," Edward said. "We will be spending the majority of this semester learning about healthy behavior, but it is important we discuss abnormalities so you can recognize them when you see them." He discussed sex chromosomal abnormalities and then launched into a lecture about homosexuality, including what causes it and ways it can be cured. He also explained how dangerous homosexuality can be, and how friends and loved ones must be encouraged to choose heterosexuality for their own safety.

"For today's discussion, let's talk about choice. Write down at least three things that you choose to be and at least three things that you are and cannot be changed. Then share these with your group. Do you agree with everyone's list?"

"For example, Kevin has blond hair. Would you say that Kevin is blond or that he chooses to be blond?"

"Of course not," Blair said, trying to look as though she wasn't that bothered. "Besides, you can destroy him when you talk later."

It was possibly scary how quickly Blair's desires for revenge could turn on a dime.

"The talk should be entertaining, at the very least." Chuck had been thinking about just nodding his head along to whatever Mr. Cullen had to say in order to avoid detention (Lord knows what they'd make you do at this school), but now that Blair had given him a challenge he couldn't not follow through.

"I suppose I should go next," Chuck said, referring to the assignment. "Although amazing was on my list too so I guess I'll have to change that..."

"Okay. I choose to be this well dressed, polite and focused on my academics," He paused to wait for any snickering to stop. "And I can't help but be charming, witty and Chuck Bass." The last one had so many connotations to it he couldn't even begin to explain it.

"Um." Kaylee'd been so focused on Blair and Chuck -- they was so glamorous! -- she'd almost forgotten to do the assignment. "I'm short, I'm good at fixin' stuff, an' I'm from the future. An' I choose t'wear m'hair in pigtails today, an' to wash my face before I come here, an' to wear pink! It's my favorite color."

Kaylee thought that was an excellent list.

She paused. "I don't like what he was sayin', neither," she added. Partly because she didn't, but mostly because she wanted them to know she agreed with their opinions. "Bein' sly ain't no choice, so far's I know."

"Being a loser is a choice," Blair said, by way of agreeing with Kaylee. "Sadly our teacher made the wrong decision."

Chuck was a little in awe himself. He didn't think people who talked like that really existed, like the chupacabra and overalls.

"Good girl," Chuck said with a smile. He always appreciated someone fawning over him like Kaylee so obviously was. "And you look great in pink. I can see why it's your favorite color."

He looked away from Blair so he could avoid any remark to him flirting.

Blair rolled her eyes but let Chuck have his fun. After all, if he got wound up he'd be more dangerous around the teacher later.

...not dirty.

...Blair was fairly certain.

She blushed, matching that very same pink. "Awww, you're sweet t'say so. I like it 'cause it's happy-lookin'! But our teacher's ben tian sheng de yi dui rou, if he's thinkin' that's true, so don't pay him no mind. He's just talkin' out his ass."

Chuck had no idea what the hell that first part was but it sounded mean so he decided that he liked it. He decided that he liked her too. "I couldn't agree with you more. I've always felt that way about him. He's going completely the wrong way with this class. He should be giving us tips to better our sexual encounters, not preventing us from having them in the first place."

"Exactly!" Kaylee exclaimed excitedly. "I mean, I wouldn't've signed up for this. Sex is too fun to just sit 'round an' judge people like this, instead of teachin' people how to do it better. Or right in the first place, for some people." She'd known a few boys like that.

"You are so, so right. Sex is too much fun for people to be judgmental about it," Chuck said, looking straight at Blair. "You are quite insightful. I can't believe we haven't met before."
