Sex Ed, Wednesday, Period 2, Class #3

Once everyone was seated, Edward addressed the class. "I know that some questions you have may be difficult to ask in person. For that reason, we now have a question box." He gestured at a wooden suggestion box sitting on a side table. "If you have a question, drop it in there and I will address it during the next class. And no, you do not have to sign your name. Also, Chuck, I'd like to talk to you after class."

"Today we are discussing Gender, Identity and Sexuality," Edward said. "We will be spending the majority of this semester learning about healthy behavior, but it is important we discuss abnormalities so you can recognize them when you see them." He discussed sex chromosomal abnormalities and then launched into a lecture about homosexuality, including what causes it and ways it can be cured. He also explained how dangerous homosexuality can be, and how friends and loved ones must be encouraged to choose heterosexuality for their own safety.

"For today's discussion, let's talk about choice. Write down at least three things that you choose to be and at least three things that you are and cannot be changed. Then share these with your group. Do you agree with everyone's list?"

"For example, Kevin has blond hair. Would you say that Kevin is blond or that he chooses to be blond?"

Claire is going home this weekend even though she doesn't know it yet, but I would happily accept a detention for the weekend after if she earns it. (Which she may. This topic is a bit of a hot button for her.)

NO, really? Hee.

I almost want to apologize for her attitude, but, well, this is the girl who, when older and allegedly more mature, spends like five minutes yelling at a stranger for supporting the war in Iraq. It pretty much would go this way.

Yeah, Chuck's doing the nemesis thing this weekend but if he deserves it, you're welcome to give him detention for the next weekend after. Or if you think of something else to punish him with then feel free :D

Liking forcing him not to bathe for a week so he'll look like a dirty hobo *shudders*

I dunno, I don't think I can take those sources seriously if they don't also blame dinosaurian wiliness.

I'm totally now tempted to find a character to app to teach Creationist Science, too.

'Cause it just keeps going.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that one isn't. The one I was originally linked to that one from (Lambuel) I'm pretty sure is.

Though the page for baraminology does make me wonder. Gotta love the combination of calling evolution "racist" and under a chart that visually shows a comparison between "negroids" and "wolves".
