Library [09/11]

When Sam arrived at the library, it was still fairly early, and he'd only managed to get a little caffeine into his blood stream. He started checking in the returned books first, and was surprised to find a children's book in among the rest. He set it aside, intending to flip through it before putting it back where it belonged, and he'd barely had time to yawn and move onto the next book when he heard mewing, and glanced over to find one--no, two gray kittens, a red kitten, and a blue kitten perched on the desk looking at him.

That was when he finally remembered there was supposedly something funky going on with the books. Oops.

"Yep. SmokingCat turned back into a book."

"Okay, so it is temporary," Sam said, sounding relieved. "I don't think it would be good for the whole library to turn into kittens, cute as they are."

Dean chuckled. "Give a whole new meaning to cathouse."

Sam shot Dean a dirty look. "Yes, because that's exactly what the library isn't."

"Guess that depends," Dean said, grin turning teasing. "Peter usually drops by, doesn't he?"

"Peter and I don't do anything dirty in the library, Dean. And we're not going to in the future, before you start thinking that."

"Yeah, sure you won't," Dean said, sounding utterly unconvinced.

"Not everyone I'm with will be up for that," Sam said. "Peter might not be that dirty."

"So what you're saying is that you are that dirty," Dean said, pointing on him.

Sam frowned as he realized how he'd made that sound. "I like the library," he said lamely.

Dean looked closely at his brother, then crowed, "Sammy you dog! You've had sex in the library!"

Sam rolled his eyes, but he knew there was no way Dean would believe him if he lied. "Only once."

"So far."

"Only. Once," Sam said again.

"The library's not going anywhere," Dean said with a smirk. "I don't think Peter is either."

"He's not a nerd like Dawn is," Sam said. "The only reason he ever comes here is to see me."

"You would be the only reason he'd have sex in the library then too," Dean said. "Which would be totally enough reason."

"No, it's really not enough reason to have sex in a public place where you can get into loads of trouble," Sam insisted.

"Cept you already have," Dean pointed out gleefully.

"First of all, Dawn liked the library as much as me," Sam pointed out. "And it was a few days before she left, so she'd graduated and was ready to go and the only person who would have gotten into trouble was me."

"Stop trying to talk yourself out of it," Dean said. "And hell if it came to that, I'm sure I could be bribed to be a lookout."

"Oh yeah, that's exactly what I need - you at the door trying not to look suspicious," Sam said.

"Please," Dean said offended. "I can blend!"

"Late at night when there's no one else around?" Sam asked.

"If I had to."
