Library [Saturday]

Mac had seen the news. With unexplained spirits popping up all over the place, the chances were there would be library-based research to be done. There usually was, so she showed up a little earlier than usual and brought copious amounts of coffee to fuel anyone who showed up.

Teddy!Ron was sitting on a stack of books overseeing.... Or, just sitting there, since he didn't do much else in this form. She just thought it might be more interesting for him if he was still in there somewhere, to be able to watch what was happening.

"You!" Tony snapped his fingers, pointing over at Ned. He had such people skills sometimes.

But everyone seemed to be talking to the kid about what they found, so...

"What were those temples again?"

"Temple of Hermes," Ned provided, blinking at the man's method of getting his attention.

Well he couldn't be expected to know the kid's name now, could he?

"Hermes. Right." He'd get used to this gods and monsters thing eventually. Right now he was just going to focus on his computer. Like a technological security blanket.

"Do you know him?" It couldn't hurt to ask. "Like...as a friend?"

Tony just stared.

"Unless you're talking about the designer, we'll say no and leave it at that."

Even though he got an extra 'Were you dropped as a child?' look for it.

"My roommate's a rock," Ned explained, frowning. "Asking isn't so far fetched."

"...a rock," Tony repeated. "Right. Well no one is a rock here so let's stick to the matter at hand."

A beat. "Greek mythology that isn't as mythological as once assumed."

"Okay," Ned said, trying to follow. "That's important here?"

"Yes." Tony had absolutely no clue.

"Okay." Ned tried to figure out how that was important. "How?"

Oh, he just had to ask that.

"If we find these temples, that will help, right?" Tony said slowly, as if talking to a slow child.

The kid might be, he wasn't going to judge. He did have a rock for a roommate after all.

"I think so," Ned said with another nod. "I hope so."

"And I-" Tony pointed at himself so there was no confusion. "-can find them with a satellite system."

There was a small pause before he added, "They're in space, you see."

Oh yeah, he was now pretty well convinced Ned was 'special'.

"You can see into space?" Ned asked. "Or...you have a map?"

"No, but the satellites can."

"Oooooh." Ned was really glad other people knew what they were doing. "And you know where the satellites are?"

"Yes," Tony replied, nodding very slowly. "And the other temple is...?"

"Oh, Temple of...Nemesis," Ned said, remembering Juli's words.

Tony nodded and typed that in, followed by a little more typing to bypass the security systems he set up...

Oh, he was going to get an angry call from Obie about this, he just knew it.

Maybe he could make one of his employees answer the phone for him...

"And there we go," Tony replied, giving him the coordinates for the two temples. "Like magic."

"Thank you, sir," Ned said, taking the sheet. "It'll be appreciated, I'm sure. Thank you."

Tony waved dismissively, typing quickly to close the backdoor he opened in the security.

"Right, right."
