Courtly Dancing and Defence: Week 4, Period 4

Aly had taken over the music room for their classes from now on, and she was just setting up the speakers as the students came in.  "Afternoon, guys," she said lightly, turning to face them.  "I hope you're all enjoying our tropical paradise."

"Today we're going to focus on a dance you all need to know if you don't already - the waltz.  It's incredibly easy, even if you have two left feet because it's basically steps on the count of three."

She ran through a quick demonstration of the basic steps, counting out loud.  "Any questions?"  Once they all were answered, Aly nodded, hitting the play button on her music.  "Then grab a partner and try it out.  Try to work with a few different partners if you can - it's good to get used to dancing with all different types."

Well, that would be simple for him, at least. The waltz he'd learned from Professor Ambrose had been a little different, but at least he could convert a few things.

As usual, Chad was trying to pay close attention to the demonstration and take notes, scratching the back of his head in worried confusion as he did.

There was a ...mountain? Oh! No, he was just a giant. "Hello," Giselle said happily, looking up at the boy expectantly.

And that was all Chad said, for a moment, a long one, before he remembered where he was and what he was supposed to be doing.

"Oh. Right."

Another pause followed before he proffered his arm. "May I have this dance?"

Chad figured that would get a little less awkward each time. He hoped so, anyway.
