Criminal Justice Class 8
[OOC: Fluff class today. That's better than the No Class that I was expecting, though.]
*Tick is at the podium, as normal. Well, as normal as ever. He looks slightly worn out, as if he had been struggling with something.*
Egads! Writing a test is TOUGH!
I'm a little pressed for time today, but I wanted to work on one of your less developed Justice-related skills: metaphors. A cunning metaphor when talking to someone after stopping an evildoer can help build your reputation as a the Surfboard of Righteousness on the Gnarly Wave of Lawlessness! Grab that curl, students, and hang ten!
So today's discussion is to come up with a metaphor to complete one of the following sentences:
*Justice is...
*Professor The Tick is...
*Crime is...
And remember, extra credit bird calls are still being accepted, and our first exam will take place a week from today.

[ooc: Reposted because 'meatphors' - no a word. Also, if you want Tick to take off or something, because I know you have a thing IRL, Rory can handle the class if you want.]

The RL stuff was last night, so I didn't think I'd get a chance to come up with my class post before today. Inspiration hit me at 5:30 AM, though. So class should proceed as normal, unless I fall asleep the minute I get home due to having stuff last night and waking up at 5:30. That might happen.]

But yeah - I pulled an all-nighter myself last night, because I am a loser college student who procrastinates. I turned in the damn paper around 8 this morning...and then JUST woke up. Hence the typos.]

So... crime is like a polar bear.

Go ahead! Give it a try!

I don't actually know anything about polar bears. They're white and... fuzzy like a bunny plate.
So crime is... like a polar bear, white and fuzzy like a bunny plate! *looks pleased*

And for showing up.Although "Crime is like..." indicates that you used a simile. If it were just "Crime is a polar bear..." it would be a true metaphor. But, still, you've come far in pretty much no time! Brava!

Good job, Vala!

"Justice is a beacon of light in the dark chaos of society?" she suggests.

"Crime is . . . the bilgewater that will sink a ship if you don't man the pumps regularly."
